Dear Bree, I started a sole proprietorship to start a side business, I was able to receive a business loan and business credit card to start my business....then I became disabled and unable to work. I never started my business I tried to return the business loan money but it's lock for 3 years meaning I can't pay it off until the 3 years are up but I have to make monthly payments in the meantime. can I get into trouble for taking out a business loan and business credit card if I never created a business?

The Internal Revenue Service limits the amount of time you have to file a 1040X to the later of three years from the date you file the original tax return or two years from the time you pay the tax for that year.

Hello, im in debt and my bank says I qualify for a settlement but i would need to talk with a tax advisor to tell me how that settlement would affect me with taxes and the IRS and my credit score . would I be able to talk to you ?

Yes - If Your Circumstances Fit. The IRS does have the authority to write off all or some of your tax debt and settle with you for less than you owe. This is called an offer in compromise, or OIC.
