There was a similar documentary made of Corby in the early 60s I have been trying to find as my late father was in it (about 10 seconds) if anyone has any idea where I might look into would be most grateful. The title had New town in it I think, it was shown in Corby with James Bonds Thunderball around 1966. Thanks

This is the Original soundtrack, The Full Monty excerpt used a dubbed-over narration complete with David Lindup's 'Zodiac' library music.

@bobbygray100 I'm assuming so as the voice over is completely different. As far as I know this is the original version of it.

brilliant...shame they didn't quote George Orwell- "Sheffield, I suppose, could justly claim to be called the ugliest town in the Old World".

I like most of you was bought here from the 1997 film The Full Monty. Interesting view of Sheffield being the heart of British Steel engineering before Thatcher came and ruined everything

Pity they failed to realise that communities would be destroyed when they built those tower blocks & moved people into them.

Its so sad and sickening to witness the decline of this once great city.
Now its becoming like every other major city in becoming a muslim venture.
Mosques grow everywhere at the decline of our own churches. Our own culture washes away as Islam takes ocer...Remember the christmas lights up the moor. Now you get a larhe " Happy Ede" makes you wanna cry.
