Royal Caribbean seems like a floating mall (though I do think Central Park seems cool). If I were to try a new cruise line it would be one of the new Celebrity ships.
Thanks for doing the comparison. From my experience, Royal Caribbean mega-ships offer more activities and shows, but they need to be booked well in advance of boarding, or they’ll be fully booked. Additionally, you need to arrive 10 to 15 minutes before the shows or activities, or your seat will be given to people on standby. On the other hand, with Celebrity Cruises, even if you're late for a show, there are usually extra seats available. I prefer Celebrity because it offers a more relaxed atmosphere with fewer passengers, so it's easy to find seats near the pool, buffet, or theater. In contrast, Royal Caribbean mega-ships require advanced booking for almost everything, which can feel like a rushed schedule rather than a relaxing vacation. However, if you’re traveling with kids, Royal Caribbean is a better choice as it offers more activities specifically for children.
In general, yes, Celebrity can be quieter but they're not always quiet. I find the Edge class ships don't have intimate lounges and not many lounges at all where you can find a good amount of them on any Royal Caribbean ship. There are a lot of bars on the Edge class ships, but not lounges (at least not inside the ship). The more intimate feeling Celebrity ships are the Solstice class. But both Solstice and Edge class ships can have active pools and Grand Foyer/Plaza areas. So, I don't know. While Royal Caribbean owns Celebrity, Celebrity was an already established line with their own style. They may share apps and such and some other aspects, but the two lines are very different in feel.
Thanks for the comparison. Now that they status match, I'm trying to figure out who to focus on for status match. Depends on what I am looking for on that vacation. It is interesting how the Celebrity does their loyalty program. Not based on number of nights. The problem I have with them is, I tend to cruise in interior cabins. Getting status that way will time a lifetime it seems.
Thanks for watching! This video is comparing two cruise companies in the Royal Caribbean Group umbrella. I’d love to hear what you enjoy most about cruising with Viking!
It's not as classy or as boring as these clips suggests. There are a lot of people up and dancing and such on Celebrity and some can get loud at times.

Thanks for watching! I recommend focusing on the cruise line you think you'll cruise with the most often.
Great video
Thank you for watching!
These 2 lines are not comparable.
They are in different categories.

Celebrity looks nice and classy, but boring!
