Peter, I like that you said Hi to Tom - people are so insular these days and its refreshing that you encourage a community spirit. I also like your vlog style and bike reviews which are helpful for people trying to make a decision on what to go for :)
It's a smooth ride, the suspension on the front and back really make a difference. If you're ever in the new york area, feel free to come by for a free test ride. Best- Jack
Yes, this is one of my favorites!
-Miles
Im from ireland and thanks for the offer ....take care
Wow, pretty cool ,if I ever get a foldable bike, I'll get one like this.
You are very welcome! If you're ever in the NYC area, stop by the shop and say hello! - Jack
i Love it .....best folding bike i ever did see......
I'm studying about a foldable full suspensioned city bike.. but this one is hard to beat!
Nice folding bike. Taiwan's got great folding bike makers.
Thanks for watching! Have you checked out the IF mode? Another fantastic bike: www.nycewheels.com/explore-if-mode-folding-bike.html - Jack
great review!!
@rawmark Yeah I saw the H-type but not in person yet. Waiting to get the first one in the shop so we can review it! -Peter
Jak zwykle profesjonalnie zrobiony test i pokaz bardzo fajnego roweru.
Like the folding design. Looks like if you stop after step 2 you have the handlebars to roll it around with. Step 3 for smallest storage. ;) Thanks for the video.
Thanks a lot for another great vid, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Being that I am in the UK you are unlikely to sell me a bike in this lifetime, but thanks for the vids nonetheless.
Hypothetically either placement would work, but you'd have to really check everything out before going for it. The IF Reach uses some really unique folding parts, and I'd be a little leary about all the electrical wiring possibly getting caught in something when folding/unfolding.
-Miles
Hey guys, i really do like your videos, especially the riding bits. Folding bikes tend to handle a little bit differently, i think it would be great if you could catch a little more footage of just riding around and talking about the bike characteristics while doing so.
Thanks for watching! We do try to get as much riding footage as possible, as we've received lots of positive feedback in the past. Again, thanks for your support! - Dillon
You got it Mark, thanks for watching - jack
Very cool video, man.
Thank you for watching! Let us know if you have any questions about the bikes! - Jack
This was filmed in Carl schurz Park at 86th and east end. Beautiful park- Jack
Hi, NYCEwheels, you might want to review the Pacific Carryme? Looking forward to it. :)
A lot of great features on this one. Have you tried riding the IF Reach yet? Best- jack
@utubegerryyy Thanks for the rating! Lots of great videos to come, as always. :) -Peter
We will see what we can do!
-Miles
@vedranre : ) thanks. Yep, we did fly it in traffic but made sure there was nobody right below us. I have been flying almost every day for 10 months now. There is a short video on our TH-cam channel, search for "Helicopter Bike Cam for Product Videos" It doesn't show the GoPro camera setup but you get an idea what it looks like. Thank you for watching. -Bert
Another great review. Nycewheels is awesome! Did you really have a flyer in the air ahead of the bike above a city avenue? The operator must be incredibly skilled... It's mind-blowing stuff. Any chance to see some behind-the-scenes footage on how you film these reviews?
Nice review, although the rear suspension is not a 'standars air shock' - although it looks like one it is actually an enclosed elastomer-based device - takes the same elastomers as the Birdy
Are these still available? This bike is awesome I'd love one even if it's used.
@frootiloopi Many folding bikes draw from the Moulton design. Brompton and Birdy use the suspension system, for example. The unique thing about the IF Reach is how the linkages allow the frame to fold up and then roll so smoothly. There really is no folding mechanism like that - it's called Integrated Folding. -Peter
Thanks for watching! - jack
@karlgw That's very good to know, thanks! -Peter
Bike Por Diversão!
@rawmark The IF Reach is very high quality relative to much of the bicycle product coming out of China and even Taiwan and could certainly keep up with some of the Bike Friday line and would be faster than a Brompton. Also, it comes at a nicer price point! Given your interest in the hand built you may also be interested in a Brompton folding bike. They're hand built in England in a factory just west of London. -Peter
with a lot of good sturdy folders out there it's funny how from brand to brand they all seem the same with just a new sticker. Now metal working technology in 2015/2016 with plasma cutters and electric welders give a lot of other folding bikes the same edge with the only difference being what they are sold for.
The IF reach only comes in the custom white. Prices can be found at our website, just follow the nycewheels link embedded in the video. Best- jack
You checked out it's older brother, the IF MODE? Runs in the family - jack
Great one, as usual! Love the spotlight on the piano about to be squeezed into a visibly undersized car... :)
Was Mark Sanders one of the designers of this IF bike?
NYCe Wheels... clever name. Kudos.
We have never done any custom modifications on this model but I'm sure you could install road handlebars aftermarket if you have the proper tools. Have you checked out any of our folding bikes already fit with the road bars like the Tern Verge X30?: www.nycewheels.com/tern-folding-bike-verge-x30.html Best - Jack
Nice review. Lol'd at the piano part. xD
hey Miles, i really like the folding design of IF Reach, i am going to modify a folding bike into an eBike. i saw the vids of the electric Brompton and the electric DC IF Reach, i'm wondering if IF Reach can have the hub motor on the rear wheel or front wheel?
EPIC!!!
IF Reach, or Dahon Formula? I'm looking for performance, not really carrying ability as it will be in my semi truck sleeper cab and used every morning for an hour and in the evenings for working out and just sight seeing when parked. I also like the Montague bikes. I'm 6'2", 34" inseam and weight 250 lbs, but losing about two lbs a week.
Keep in touch, just let us know if you have any questions - jack
@innomind Mark Sanders did design the IF "Integrate Folding" mechanism, yes. Haha, what were those piano people thinking?
@nycewheels There was another bike by Mark Sanders called IF Mode, I wonder if they already began production of it. I got to usability-test it couple of years back. I put a small teaser for If Mode at the end of usability review of the Strida bike. RkgWAgbVNNQ
I am looking to get a folding bike for my commute to work. Its about 1.5 miles on a pretty flat road. Any suggestions for a reasonably priced folding bike?
For the birds eye view shots did you use one of those remote controlled helicopters and put a go pro on it
Yes, we used a remote helicopter drone. You can learn more about the making of these videos here!! blog.nycewheels.com/bike-video-review/ Thanks for watching- Jack
It's a pretty awesome bike isn't it? Unfortunately we do not ship internationally.
-Miles
@rawmark Isnt Brompton a UK manufactured bike?
Well it might help you to know that we just sold out of the IF Reaches! The Formula has a bit better performance though, in my opinion.
-Miles
Sure, you'd be able to ride it fine. Best- jack
Where in NYC is this? Looks nice.
Hi, we can't list prices on youtube but if you click the link embedded in the video you'll be able to view the price and get more info on the product page. Best- jack
@iwasborntobefly It's true that there are differences in quality between a hand built bike and a factory built bike. Then again, there are many custom builders in China and Taiwan and Japan for that matter that produce super high end bikes. By the same token there are still a few bikes mass produced in American factories that aren't so super high end. Choosing the right one should really be determined by the reputation of the company and user reviews - or a test ride! -Peter
i'd take this over a brompton any day.
Is it good for mountain's and if not can you give me a link to a foldable mountain bike
Nice bike!! And the price is?
Where did you buy this cool helmet ;)
Best Regards from Germany
Dennis ;)
Very true.
@nycewheels Peter, I'm guessing that they H-type will be a perfect fit for you. You're a big guy and the H-Type was created for taller people. :)
does this explain the bags in pokemon then?
How much. Does this have an handle
@chucklesbike It is. -Peter
what is the size of the wheels in this video?
bye me this bike i stay in italy ! how we can doing this?
Hi there :)
Wow , thats amazing...i was looking for a folding one with good suspension , so i will be able to swap it easily to a kinda MB ! Whats the price ?
toliss106 Hey there! Thanks for watching. You can get all the info on this bike at this link: www.nycewheels.com/if-reach-folding-bike.html. - Paul
So nice。。。how to place order as I need ?
What are you riding Rohan? - Jack
Just brought a used one for 400 hope it’s worth it
Wow thats a great price i wish i could get one too. The newer designs aren't as impressive to me.
Is this bike less expensive compared to other performance driven bikes
HI Nile, sorry for the late response. This bike is about average price compared to other high performers. For a really great deal on a high performing folding bike I would recommend the Dahon Formula S18: www.nycewheels.com/dahon-formula.html Best - Jack
prety cool
@nycewheels Thanks Peter. I just have boycotted almost everything made on that side of the world, excluding Australia, Japan and New Zealand. Maybe if it was in a different colour I'd be interested in it. I love the Brompton though. They make nice bikes and just came out with a new model that's ideal for you!
The IF Reach has 20" wheels. Let me know if you have more questions, and thanks for watching! - Jack
how much cost
Like it
What price IF Reach?
Sony camera strapped to a RC helicopter! Pretty cool, no?
-Miles

We can't list prices here, but if you follow the link embedded in the video you can view specs and prices on our website. Best- jack

Hi - is this bike still competitive after these years? I want something like this but it's £1000 over here :) Big investment if it's outdated.
phooogle I have one, it's a very good bike, with standard pieces.
There are not a lot of tires that fit in, I owned some Maxxis DTH which are better than the primo comet (to slippy).
My only complain is that you can't put some disc brakes :(.
But the rest is just perfect for a folding bike and I can keep it in my appartment folded.
Amazing... 2017 and... No fenders, no disc breaks, no led lights... Awesome folding though !
@piotrhonisz Thanks! -Peter
yobuddy...youve got some competition with me... ;)
how much is it?
@SammyStreetStyle Please follow the link the the video description for price and more information. Thanks! -Peter
Didn't say if it's made of steel or alloy.
no i have never rode it...but i wish i could
@iwasborntobefly Today is the day! :) -Peter
@iwasborntobefly Umm, ok I stand corrected. However, most of the components in my home built computer were made in the USA. How do I know? I built it. Actually, I'm very particular. My water bottle, coffee mug, fountain pens, flashlights, tape gun, tape, all made in china. My notebooks made in US or UK.. Calculator, made in USA. Messenger bag made in USA. All bikes that I own made in USA. Should I go on?
I wish - Jack
Sometimes you gotta try to fit an entire piano in an Outback...
-Miles
I will be shocked if anything ever satisfactorily explains Pokemon...
-Miles
What's the name of the bike store
Hi Joanne, the name of the shop is NYCeWheels. We are located on 1603 York Avenue (between 84th and 85th Street) in NYC. For more information on directions to the shop: www.nycewheels.com/directions.html - Dillon
Half of three Kilometers is about 9/10ths of a mile. - jack
yeah very cool xD
Hi Andres, our latest youtube video actually features a high end folding mountain bike. Just search for "nycewheels paratrooper" to take a look. Best- jack
Nice but but if Pacific Bicycle really wants to sell these bkes they should manufacture them in the USA. I'll buy a bike friday or brompton any day over a bike make in china just because I know it's helping our economy.
Hi Dan, I would recommend the Dahon Mariner as a nice entry level folding bike. Check it out on youtube, or go on our website nycewheels(dot)com and give it a search. All the best- jack
Thank you for the circle around the people with the piano.
Haha, a strange little moment. Thanks for watching! - Jack
