Unfortunately, New Orleans has very few public documents still around today. Paper records don't do well in hot, wet climates and a lack of funding prevented them from digitizing most things until post Hurricane Katrina. By that point it was largely too late. Not saying it's impossible there are certainly some records still around but it's possible they're gone.

Piggly Wiggly is still around. Founded in Memphis TN in 1916. I live in Murfreesboro TN and are around this area.
