That Slayer security chief is one of the smartest, in tune with the audience people I've seen in the music industry. He might be retired now but if he's not he needs to be employed by another band now that Slayer is no longer with us.

I tend to agree, he’s knows how to use the “yes, but” technique of communication. Always a diplomatic and effective move. Everybody gets something they need.

I've been in slayer pits and they are brutal but you fall and there's 5 guys picking you up making sure your OK. Old school mosh pit etiquette

I had that happen to me at slayer shows back in the day. Everyone was always bigger than me lol but believe it or not there was always a couple guys to help me out and give me a pat on the back. Thankfully I never took a cheap shot. I saw that happen but it was dealt with immediately.

Love how Slayer, to this day is the only thrash band is truly embraced by the death metal scene...Slayer took so many death metal bands on tour...always welcomed on death metal stages....

I was hoping that David Vincent would have had more of a spotlight in this video, aside from just a few minutes at the end. 😐 There was a great contrast of points of view from everyone interviewed anyway. Cool video!

Rap artists fill prison cells... Death metal musicians do not. Sheriffs have fear of losing their jobs now.

Slayer had a HUGE influence on death metal, that's why. Plus, I recall in the Combat Records 1986 tour VHS with Slayer, Exodus, Venom that "Hell Awaits" was listed as death metal. That was the heaviest shit around at the time. Plus, songs like "The Necrophiliac" are responsible for Cannibal Corpse's whole career. They even covered Slayer's "Reign In Blood" in 1993 while Barned was still in the band (you can find that video on Jack Owen's youtube). Check out Monstrosity's cover of "Angel of Death" to see how important Slayer is to death metal.

@@archangelofcoffee922 yea...no. slayer should not be included in anything death metal related as they were speed/thrash. There was an lp released once called death metal and it had zero death metal bands on it. Slayer should never have been included in this documentary what a fucking joke.
