BeautyInAmin I'm not kidding when I say that Buerre is one of my favorite lip liners of all time... Also a little bird told me that the creme stick liners will be discontinued in the near future.. Great video, I found this so helpful. I currently own 3 lip liners from mac (half red,magenta and redd). I love them so much and wanted to pick up a few more but with the selection it can be kind of overwhelming. After watching your video...I now have a list of which one to get. 😁

Lol I just got spice today before I even saw your video.. I saw handash use oak and thought it was too dark for me so I went with spice - omg it’s the best lip color for me ever! It’s not too brown - not too red - not plum or pink - it’s perfect❤️ new holy grail - if you haven’t tried buxom lip pencils (the fat ones) hush hush is a great nude and has been my go to for years - just an FYI it’s a pretty nude as well
Buerre is not pronounced "beret" it's pronounced "burr". It's French for butter.

Hi! Loved your video and I'm one to rarely comment on videos :) Just wondering, do you happen to find Beet a bit dry/patchy looking and hard to apply on your lips? I have it and it's a beautiful color but it looks weird when I apply it, it looks darker in places where I applied a bit too much pressure and idk what to do :(
+berrymerrymakeup HI! Make sure sure to always exfoliate your lips to avoid patchiness and the pencil feeling dry. You can also try warming up the pencil on the back of your hand before applying so it applies a bit smoother. I always always always apply a lip primer, my favorite is MAC prep + prime lip, especially before applying a lip pencil to ensure it glides on smooth! I hope that helps!! xx

I actually love the Palladio Herbal Lip Liners! They are really inexpensive, but are super creamy and long wearing! Definitely recommend them! :)

Hey, i wanted to ask you actually about application. I recently started wearing makeup and i am struggling so bad at applying lipliners... If i literally color my whole lips it just looks way too cakey and if i just do a couple of strokes and try to blend it the lipliner is so unblendable it hurts, so i end up again coloring the whole thing... If that even makes sense... Anyway i would appreciate it if sb helped me out here... Also do you wear lipliner alone without lipstick on top? Thanks in advance! New subbie here also ;)
+dailyuser1000 I would suggest investing in a lip primer- my favorite is MAC prep + prime lip, if you would like a more affordable option I have heard good things about the Colour Pop lip primer. This will help with smoother application, longevity and true color payoff. I love wearing lip liners alone, just has to be the right color :) Thank you for watching! I hope this helps

+nnylda haysia I use either a sharpener from MAC ($10), from Anastasia Beverly Hills ($6) or from Dior, I would definitely use a professional grade pencil sharpener or the pencil will be ruined!!

It's Ablaze! Ahh its a limited edition liner - if you like this shade the closest I've seen at MAC is Chic Trick lip pencil, which is permanent. Let me know if that helps!
HELP! I currently own 4 nude Mac lipsticks: Whirl, Taupe, velvet teddy and mehr. Which Mac lipliner should I get to kind of match all of them? I've been told stripdown is a good one, do you agree?

I'm not sure why, but Edge to edge looks darker on me. Perhaps because I'm paler?
Absolutely, it can look completely different if your skin tone is lighter. That or depending on when I got my pencil versus when you got yours, the formula/shade could have shifted a bit. (Lol, that's just the unfortunate truth about makeup.)

GrayTracy thanks for the reply. I am so glad I found your video, as I'm looking for the perfect Mac lip liner for me. I favour the dirty pink look with the tiniest, tiniest hint of brown. I want it to look like I haven't got anything on my lips, but I also have....if that makes any sense? Lol. You've convinced me to get Soar and possibly Dervish, Edge to edge is just a little too pink....but I'm getting it again as I still like it.
I'm so happy you've found this video helpful. I would also suggest checking out Whirl - it's similar to Soar but browner. 💕 I think you would really like it!
GrayTracy I was thinking of Whirl too, but not sure as I tend to prefer it being more pink than brown. But I will swatch them all on my hand when I next visit the Mac store. I always feel like they're watching me like a hawk when I'm doing that though, I wish I could feel more relaxed when shopping! Again, thanks for the help 💜
I know what you mean, but... Speaking from someone that used to work for MAC, lol, I don't think they're watching you to be awkward or make you feel like you're being watched. When I would see someone looking at a lip liner or lipstick I was trying to understand what shades they were at for to help guide them to something to pair with that item. 💜 Happy swatching love!
Hey, what would you say is the difference between stripdown & oak? I really am into those browny nudes
+Ritza Herrera Hi! So the main difference is that stripdown has a lot of caramel brown undertones, where oak is far more neutral (not too orange, gold or pink). Also, stripdown is darker than oak!
