Is it ok to just open the entrance to the nuc next to the other hives or do I need to lock them up before? I have two hives next to eachother and I’ve never had this before. I don’t want them to fight.

It should be fine to open them up as long as the nuc is in the spot you want it to stay in. They shouldn’t fight with the other bees.
