I read the whole book of Hosea for the first time all the way through today, as an adult.... then I listened to this. Just imagining God waiting in line to buy me back from the world.... man I cried so much. I love what God is doing in your life and in your music. God bless you brother
There is a cute Christian movie, Amazing Love that has a dramatized side story of Hosea. It isn't Biblically accurate (they take some liberties to add flare to the biblical account), but the idea of how much we are loved by our Father is 100 there.
2:17 is always the part that hits me like a gut punch. Every believer has been there, we don’t deserve God’s goodness/forgiveness. It’s almost too much to bear, he is so holy and good. I love him.
I truly have never been so moved as I am by this music video. The Bible story of Hosea taking a prostitute as his wife to symbolize God's loving commitment to his people even though we stray. Josh Garrels telling of the story with music is priceless. I have never seen an animation so perfectly in synch with the music as well with image and timing. I like the spirit motions that flow through the images and how the beloved is absent from the scenes of unfaithfulness at the end. Wow. Puts a spark in my heart. Thanks.
I was thinking through out the whole video "this reminds me of Hosea!", imagine my surprise with the Hosea verse quote at the end! So true, Hosea is what Christ is doing for us, we are the unfaithful wife running away to do adulterous things while Christ keeps coming to take us back. amen!

Just watched this again because my BSF teaching leader quoted it in his lesson and now I'm ugly crying (in a good way) about my faithlessness contrasted with God's immensely faithfulness. Thank You Jesus for loving me unconditionally and in spite of me. You are so good.
I know I'm just some insignificant commenter, but it amazes me how you don't reach more audiences. I'm a former Christian, now athiest, but I still find your music beautiful and wonderful to listen to. This music video and the storytelling within it is just so wonderful, too! If I might speculate just a little bit; Is there a chance perhaps that you had transitioned from former Christian to atheist because of a wounding, and so maybe the transition is out of religious BS to non-religious existence, but "don't throw the baby out with the bathwater" as the axiom goes, for the true spiritual reality that would accurately reflect the heart of our Heavenly Father, and can draw you into His presence, which is diametrically opposed to insidious religion? (raising cakes were offered to idols and then eaten back in the day, thats my best understanding of it.)
