    Hi
A common technique for centering objects is to wrap masking tape or a thin layer of metal strips around the object to be centered.
Soda pop can strips wrapped around the pipe to hold it in place until it is soldered or brazed in place works very well.
I have used this technique to center fishing poles onto the handle while glue sets. It works.

How do you think of using coccentric (as back end) and eccentric reducer (as front end) welded together as a combustion chamber?

Ever think of going with a flux voted or coated brazing rod? 18% silver flux cored brazing rod will stick to everything and leave a solid joint with enough penetration to boot.

1:23 YOU HAVE A LATHE (it could be fixed up nice too) that could make the tubes in any size you want, any length, straight as a shot, even in differing Diameters if you want and control the size of the oriface to at least a ten thousandths. Have you ever thought about using that instead of being limited to standard off the shelf tubes and solder. Copper and brass machine like butter.

    Nice design.
Have you tied to add water injection to the oil after it’s up to temp?

    • @NOBOX7
      @NOBOX7  5 ปีที่แล้ว

I think it would kill the flame

    • @johngroberts952

I Haven’t tried it in a pressurized system yet, but with a drip feed system it will increase heat output 2-3 fold.
It may only work on drip/ liquid system but try spraying some water in the air intake on one of your burners and see if anything happens. Worth a try.
I have used oil water mix to forge steel on a regular stove type oil burner.

@@johngroberts952 how does adding water increase the heat output? The oil has a certain heat of reaction. That's where your heat comes from. The water has a heat of vaporization that will actually steal some of the combustion heat in order to vaporize. This isn't adding up.

@@bobbybaucom4489 I'm kinda guessing here, but when researching wood gassifyers I found designs that inject steam that is cracked into Hydrogen and oxygen and recombined into a hydrocarbon to increase burn efficiency. I'm probably misstating it, but my understanding was the steam goes through a chemical break down and changes the fuel .

@@NOBOX7 So do you figure that over time it [ionically] dresses the surfaces in such a way as to resist further foam generation by causing bubbles to conjugate in the fluid or to precipitate on the surfaces?
I know that oil can make surfaces hydrophobic, which, in this case, might lead to gas precipitating out more rapidly...
I'm going to have to do some research into this...
