  • In this vlog, we're exploring Sidi Bou Said, Tunisia! This beautiful town is just about 30 minutes from downtown Tunis, and it looks to me exactly like a Greek island like Santorini or Mykonos! In this vlog we'll explore Sidi Bou Said, try some local Tunisian food, and check out a beautiful beach.

Personally as a Canadian who visited both places I really admire both of them but If I had to choose the most interesting one I would go with Sidi Bou Said. I think it's simply because Sidi Bou Said is a historic town that wasn't rebuilt or adjusted much and modernized over time. It's an ongoing old piece of art that represents one of the most unique architectures in the world which is the Andalusian architecture. The history of the houses, the buildings and the streets is what makes the place more interesting and different. I was thinking about places to visit this summer and glad that your video popped up to me because I think I would love to revisit Tunisia again.

Just came back from Sidi Bou Said. What a beautiful village!
If going by car and parking in the car park right next to the village make sure to pay for the full time you expect you will stay there for otherwise your car will be clamped and you'll need to pay the guy who stays in the car park 15 TD to remove the clamp. Unfortunately made a mistake of paying for 1 hour but stayed for longer. Note that parking all around Sidi Bou Said won't be free and in some areas you can even get towed.
Also either confirm the price to take pictures with those falcons before getting pictures taken or avoid those people with falcons completely. We're Tunisians and even still the same guy who was in this video wanted us to pay 60 TD for some pictures with his falcon. We thought he was joking at first but he was being dead serious! We ended up paying him 5 TD and he still wasn't happy.
