Thank you! I’ve been skiing 3 times in my life, and every time I fall nobody helps me or explains to me how to get up. Some just laugh. I plan to take this knowledge, practice, master it, and help as many people as I can when I see them struggling.

Ok it could be pretty funny when we fall (I laughed at myself because there was no way I could get up at all) but if they didn't help you to stand up, that was just mean.

I do feel you man, I experienced the exact same situations where I fell and they just left me there. I also plan to freaking master this and help out as many people as I can with it 🫱🏽‍🫲🏼

Best video ever. Thanks so much. I usually just remove my ski because I am tired of trying to stand up. Standing up after a fall is the most difficult part of skiing so far to me.

went skiing in big sky (for the 3rd time in my life) and was told to use my poles to hoist myself up lol. I have no upper body strength to this option was SO hard for me and i was exhausted from falling. i think the first two options would have been so much easier for me. thank you!

Game changer! Been skiing all my life and always used my poles to hoist myself up but that doesn’t work anymore (I’m old). These techniques are brilliant, thank you. 🙏🏻

That’s the only technique I was taught, but it’s incredibly exhausting to do (I’m old as well). I had no idea these easier methods existed. Looking forward to trying them out.

Thank you so much for this tutorial
I have restarted skiing after issues with my hips and pelvis and had been struggling so much that I was anxious to even try incase I fell.
Today , using your technique 1, I was able to get straight back up. It’s helped my confidence a lot - thank you

I would of never thought of these, I would consider my self a pretty good skier, I've been skiing for about 10 years, I am just a teen but I never could get up. I always tried to rush and would try to do the sit-up thing, but that only works when your little. Unless your really strong, but Im not and Im not very thin, so these will all be a great help, thank you!

Thank you learning how to ski with my kids I skied 3 times so since we live far from the mountains we don’t have plenty of opportunities to ski. I took lessons I haven’t thought how to get up yet . I fell down at the bottom of the hill and couldn’t get up and I couldn’t take off my skis it was really really tight even after my kid came to help and we still struggled to take off the ski, finally my husband saw us and came to help. This is very helpful and I can’t wait to try it

  • @SL5991.

3rd option was literally what I did today, I tried other ways (not the other 2 like video) but couldn't get up AT ALL. And just felt like laying on the snow after that cos my arms were so sore and I was exhausted from trying lol. Being a beginner sucks but it's pretty fun sport. I'm looking forward to doing it again.

    • @robertgary3561

Issue is that if the snow is sticky it’s hard to get enough snow off the boot to fit back in the binding

So great!! I have 2 knee replacements and my knees don’t bend 160 degrees. Any of those tricks will work for me. I’ve always tried to use my poles and push myself up. Very strenuous ans not that successful.. thanks !!!!!

    1. Nope. I would start slipping and sliding backwards with my sticks still uphill.
    2. Nope. Same thing.
    3. Nope. As my clumsy semf I would accidentally kick the undone ski and it would glide all the way down.
My method: keep my skis pointing slightly down and use the sticks to push me back up.

Trzn&Trx you know your skis can’t go down the hill by themselves they have a mechanic that makes it so when they are off some things stick out from the bottom to stop that

    • @neocyndaquil

@@rileymhannafin9222 Nah, I learned the method to do it now. You can easily pull yourself up by putting your hands on the snow, then slowly, pull yourself towards the front of the skis, that way, you can stand up easily.
