I've been smiling since I saw the notification for this interview, because I love MaxNat and I love your interviews, Lila! It was really sweet to see both Max and Nat really focus on the questions, even trying to chime in with English where they could (I can only imagine that they've been working so hard to prepare for all of their upcoming fan meetings). They have such a trusting bond between them, with Max having no qualms with passing a question to Nat when he's struggling to find the correct response. It makes me happy to see them continue to compliment each other on their progress in this very tough industry, and supporting one another. Nick - I will never stop singing his praises. I love that he's so respectful of all the guests, allowing them to speak comfortably and at their own pace while holding onto as much of the jist of the conversation as possible to provide a solid translation summary afterwards (so as to not interrupt a guest who might be answering with a longer response). Does Nick work on the providing the translation for the subtitles as well? I had a quick logistical question, if you're allowed to tell: I've noticed, in all of your in-person interviews, you've provided the actors with a paper sheet. Am I correct in assuming that this is a list of your interview questions for them to reference?
Hi there, Nick here! Thank you so much for the praise! I'm glad you enjoyed the interview. I actually try to not make it too much like an interview, want it to be more like "chatting", so they can be themselves as much as possible. As for the subtitle, I actually am not the one who does it, subtitling is quite time-consuming and I don't have the time for it haha. So we have someone else do it. For your logistical question, it's not really a secret. We do give the actors questions, but honestly we rarely use it, we go off topic all the time! It's more like a guideline of what we're gonna be talking about.
