This is inhumanly perfect. You have no idea how hard it is to get this "simple" Music nailed like this unless you tried it youself (for decades...). German Brass deliveres als always. Happy Christmas!
Unbelievably pretty. My two favorite Christmas carols and an unsurpassed trombone choir. Great words Kleeblatt. Yes it is a complete brass choir from the piccolo trumpet all the way to the tuba! Magnificent, eh? A Joyous Noel to You & Yours! From Leo in the town of Alamosa in the beautiful San Luis Valley of Southern Colorado USA. Check out Leo's Christmas on TH-cam (Garyskiman L) 🎅🤶🦌❄☃🎵🎄🎁✨🖖🙏
Indeed it is sung in Germany as an Advent hymn, called "Tochter Zion, freue dich". In Ireland the tune is associated with both Christmas and Easter. In various countries it is used as either a wedding or funeral hymn. Otherwise it is most generally known as "Thine Be the Glory" and is used at Easter.
@@jessebrook1688 Did you notice that it had 4 valves? That's the first time I ever saw a 4 valve sousaphone. Apparently, it's designed to do more than oompah in a parade.
@@jauch0 When sousaphones came out, you could get them in Bb and Eb, with 3 or 4 valves, in monster/jumbo/concert or regular sizes. It especially helped for Eb sousaphones, since then they could contribute more to the bass notes than they could with just 3 valves. But sousaphone sections in earlier bands were set up to be just like the marching bands or brass bands of the day: ideally, 2 Eb and 2 Bb brass basses. There were F and C sousaphones made by Amati, but what purpose that served eludes me. They only had 3 valves, and any F tuba with just 3 valves is severely limited in range. The 4th valve on Bb sousaphones allows some players to double parts down an octave, and give a broader sound to the band. It's a nice option to have, if not used much these days.
Guys…Matthias Hofs is NOT in this performance. This is why German Brass is the best: when their lead player is out, you simply can’t tell the difference. There is nobody even close to this ensemble.
Having a female in the group just for the sake of having a female doesn’t solve any problems, And FYI sarah Willis also played with German brass a couple times i think
So muss Weihnachten sein!👍

Well Stated!

The french horns!
Super das sind echte Profis
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Gruß vom Hotzenwald
Those horns are freaking loud my goodness haha, perfection
Interesting to include Thine be the Glory in a Christmas Medley but whatever time of year it's magnificent music
THE BEST!!!!
Immer wieder gut
I though Einstein played the violin
😂 turns out he's a hornist
His name is Wolfgang "Einstein" Gaag. Was lucky to meet that genius irl.
Wooooooow
German brass; Epic horn solo to start with.
Producer; Zooms into tuba player.
I love these type of music.. Can anyone give me more information about such type of music???
This is a Part of the Great Classical Genre
😍
This is a relativ big Brass Ensemble f.e.
Christmas carols of Germany
Does anyone have the sheet music ?
I’ve been trying to find it for ages but I don’t think they have released this arrangement unfortunately :(
The first song is mostly played during easter. Good performance as always by german brass.
"Tochter Zion"? What kind of easter do you celebrate😂?

Gibt es dafür irgendwo den Notensatz + piccolostimme
Absolut bei dir. Wäre echt mega geil.
素晴らしすぎだろ
マティアス・ヘフス がいなくて これだもんな~
全員バケモノ!素晴らしい!
Brillant.
What's the brand of that sousa ?
It's probably a Miraphone. They don't make one with a fibreglass bell now, but it could be a special order. Expensive, at 10-13k Euros.

@@jauch0 waaaay more than oompah indeed

❤️
Adeste Fideles? I don't think so. Judas Macabeus
Great, but why no female musicians?
because none applied. Please dont be one of those people who tries to make something "racist" or "sexist"
Because none applied or none of them was at the level required by the ensemble. If you want, you can make your own brass exclusivelly with females!
Having a female in the group just for the sake of having a female doesn’t solve any problems, And FYI sarah Willis also played with German brass a couple times i think
Why? Would that make them any better?
Assemble an ensemble of all women who can perform like this, and THEN we’ll talk.
Oh wait. There are none.
