      Positive Miyah ! I have videos on my channel showing my wash routine & my twist routine. I do that weekly. While my twists are in, I spritz my hair once a day with a little rose water and I massage my scalp with oils. That’s about the gist of it (:

    • @TrinitiAlysse
      @TrinitiAlysse  5 ปีที่แล้ว +526

      lynda chalker They can be super hard to individually detect because of how tight the curl pattern is. I’d recommend putting your hair in some twists once you notice your ends are feeling a little rough, and just lightly trim them that way. Dusting and scanning for specific split ends is typically more difficult to do on tighter curls!

      a lot of breakage especially in tiny wisps is a sign that you’re LONG over due for a trim. they looked thinned out in bigger sections so like, in a stretched state, your hair will be thicker at the roots and the middle but will be see through at the ends. also a rough texture, and it’s even more easily tangled.

    My hair grows 1-2 inches a month . All I do is braid my hair in cornrows and oil my scalp with virgin hair fertilizer the yellow and white wild growth and Jamaican black castor oil. I wash and redo the braids every month.
    Hair growth has a lot to do with what you eat. Make sure you eat a lot of fresh fruit and veggies along with vitamins every single day.

    I totally agree with you on the trimming: If you are trying to grow long hair, then stop cutting it! If you grow 1 inch of hair in 4 weeks, then why are you trimming 2 inches of hair 2 weeks later (this is for those “every 6 weeks trimmers”)?! MOST TH-cam natural hair community influencers with the super long hair have at some point admitted to us that they don’t trim their hair that often. Follow the advice of the person with the RESULTS.

I also sleep on a satin pillow case and wear a satin bonnet (silk/satin pillow cases are amazing for your face too) . For me the best thing I have done since going natural is to come up with a good night time regime. I use a tiny amount of cream and seal it in with a tiny amount of oil, put on my satin bonnet and let it rest while I sleep. It has done wonders!!

    About wearing a burnet or tieing a scarf, I learnt that it's wrong to cover your hair when sleeping cuz it obstruct respiration which could stop the flow of blood and cause headache. So I think using a satin pillow case is better.

    • @Hello-rq9yx
      @Hello-rq9yx 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's true to some extent. I have definitely experienced it a times with a silky scarf. Bug if you tie it loosely, firm enough though...it won't really obstruct circulation or give you headache. The key is to tie loosely ☺ hope this help..

    If you roll off your satin pillow at night, but some satin sheets. Dusting helped my damaged bleach hair grow from shoulder to mid back in 14 months. I totally agree to only cut what is split. Although, the mental struggle for me is the naturally uneven growth shape. Like, ears down my hair grows so fast and so it’s like 5 inches longer than the side hairs. But, my plan is letting it do it’s thing and once my ears down gets where I want I’ll start blunt trimming it and eventually it’ll even out.

    I'm new to your channel and I have to say the advice that u gave in this video is definitely what I need to do more of. I have been natural for a little over 2yrs now and it was a damn challenge to say the least. I have 4C hair and I'm having such a hard time keeping moisture in when I take my twistouts down. I do wear the bonnet to bed and my hair is long enough to put a band around it to pull it 1/2way back in a bun. You mentioned getting a routine down and that's something that I have not done. I'll was maybe every other week or a lil longer. I'm gonna switch that up for sure.

    Me, I also wash my hair every Sunday or if I don't do it on Sunday I do It on Saturday so basically I wash my hair once every weekend. My hair is type 4 and it's very short but a little longer/ longer than a T.W.A, I go through shrinkage, and it's high porosity, coarse (I think) and I know when I'm using something hot in my hair because it starts to itch so I know to tone it down but since I'm not 18 yet I can't buy good products on Amazon and stuff. My hairs always dry and when it dries when its wet, it dries within that hour/ 30 min or less and I dont know how to trim/ cut my hair because I usually do my own hair except for when my mom does my twist which elongates my hair. I dont want to straighten my natural hair because I'm scared that it will mess my hair up and I started going natural a year ago or so... What I'm saying is basically HELP! I NEED GROWTH!!

  • @pewall8639
    @pewall8639 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    y’all u also have to know your hair porosity! because certain products don’t work for everyone! par exemple: low porosity ppl too much protein is a no. sorry that rice water treatment might do more harm than good 🤷🏾‍♀️ also castor oil/ olive oil is too thick for low porosity hair and it will just sit on top and not doing anything i recommend figuring your hair type and researching products that work best for YOUR hair type. aka low medium high porosity (do the water test to learn your porosity) and hair type 1 through 4.
