I was lucky enough to race this year, it was frenetic, at times a bit of contact (elbow in the rib to let me know he wanted to come through in the pack), incredibly fast paced and totally exhausted at the end but without a doubt the best fun I have ever had in the 40 odd years of cycling. My word it’s addictive and would love to do it again. Thank you to Will Butler-Adams and the the whole Brompton team that make it possible for the race to happen 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🥇
I bought a Pinarello road bike instead.i'm still. thinking. of one of these though. I love to travel and walking everywhere- while exciting can be a chore. i thought of one of these. would be handy in an inner city. @@coeus2604
I thought i replied but it isn't there. I bought a Pinarello road bike instead. i still think about. getting one because i love to travel riding in an inner city on one of these might be a lot of fun.Can you imagine. riding through London, Paris,Rome on one of these?@@coeus2604
Unless you have knee problems, cause I have a knee replacement and after a year of cycling, my artificial knee hurts more and on x ray the surfaces have worn out.
Am I imagining it or did somebody in a yellow M type with a rear rack figure in the top 10 on the final sprint? If so that's pretty amazing (and inspiring for us humble M type owners!)
Почему все так рады? Вроде да, он компактнее, но вы видели какие неровные иногда дороги? Или как на нем заезжать на бордюр? Наверно я просто привык к большим колесам.
I rode a folding bike for a year and every day Iaughed to myself as I struggled up hills. I also laughed at how ridiculous I looked riding it. They are an absolute delight of a machine. I ended up selling it for something more comfortable but would recommend these bikes to anyone. Maybe not if you're riding 30ks 5 days a week though.
Bought a couple of Bromptons at Evans online for our holiday. Left 3 weeks to plan and thought that was enough time to buy a bike labeled in stock and in warehouse, pick up max 10 days. Right, bike due in no more than 10 days. With no prior notice on day of pick up we find the bike is delayed a month!! Holiday ruined? No we have time to find another bike so refund? No Evans assure us they have the same bike elsewhere that can be picked up in 3 days. 3 days pass and the store holding our bikes closes for renovations.. not open again for a week! Evans customer service advise we call stores in neighboring towns to see if they have the same bikes. They do!! Great pick up tomorrow. Great!! We drive 1 hour to get to the store. Bikes have not arrived and are not scheduled to. Holiday plans ruined. Angry call to customer service, this time I demand to talk to the top. I explain my experience, she pulls the strings and we can pick up the first order at the local store.. they will allow the bikes to be handed out even though the store is closed. Great.. all sorted at literally the last minute... and a gift card to say sorry. Update: They can stick their gift voucher where the sun doesn't shine! We arrive at our destination after the mad rush to get the bikes, flustered to say the least. unpack the bikes and they are damaged with critical parts missing!! There is no sign of damage on the packaging and the kind of damage sustained required quite a crash that would have destroyed packaging. the damage was not described at purchase... this is a surprise! how will Evans address this? Ans they will not. They claim the bikes where checked and checked on collect. This is simply not true. and obviously so.. how could they have checked the bikes and yet missed the crucial components required for the bikes to unfold? I am taking this to trading standards.. this has been a nightmare. Don't risk it at Evans cycles.. they are rotten to the core!

Cycling is fun and healthy. Everyone should be encouraged and can enjoy.

I have to go to this as a new brompton owner 🤓🚴🏾♀️
Brilliant community
I hope one day I'll join
So, a blazer was a compulsory wear ?
Needs KEO pedals and some Aero bars and you'd dominate!

How do you join event?
I have seen any bromptons type M with hadlebar type S,isn’t is?
Gabriel Angel Lobato Garcia type S is the sportier handlebar so it makes sense

completely agree! as a whole, i think your posture on them is much more comfy than a normal bike!
This is so fucking cool!!! My wife and I are planning to get a pair for ourselves and daughter!!! Super excited!!!!
Awesome
Muy bonita, pero conseguir repuestos acá en colombia, tenaz, carísimos y escasos

Nuts
who won?
I only knew, Olympic Champion Emma Pooley was the winner for the Women's Category
If these bikes weren't so expensive I'd buy one...oh well looks like I'll still have to walk for an hour to get to work
I bought a cheap foldie for 10% of the cost of a Brompton, and still gets >75% of the speed of the Brompton. Good deal!
1.57 Chris froome ???
I think i saw emma pooley...
Yep, it's her.
Me too!
