Well, that's why it's important to revive our old and forgotten traditions, so that the clueless Khmer people who are not knowledgeable about ancient Khmer culture to know.
Majority of Khmer people are not knowledgeable about their own culture. Since they lack the knowledge and are only accustomed to seeing what's portrayed in "Siem" dramas (which was borrowed from Khmer culture), they would assumed it's "Thai. The evidence are on the walls, it's not difficult to know what ancient Khmer people wore and the various hairstyles they adorned. The ministry of culture does not have a full knowledge about Khmer fashion, especially the fashion during the ancient Khmer Empire. They usually lean towards being "conservative". The clothing and jewelry that are worn by the modern Apsara dancers are not accurate - at all. I'm glad to see that the new generation of Khmer designers are reviving, designing, and creating more accurate costumes and jewelry from the Angkorian period. The costume and jewelry designers for this drama series did a great job. It's not 100% accurate, yet - but getting close. It's such a big improvement. I hope they could continue doing it.
Please revive all that was forgotten or 'lost'. Khmer culture is beautiful, it need to be brought back to its former glory.
