Helped me get mine back working. I just went a different route for the fuse. I clipped out the old junk glass fuse thats soldiered in and soldiered in some wire with spade terminals and put a 1amp car fuse in it, now if the fuse blows you can just put another in and no more desoldering and resoldering.
My dads shop light went out. Said he heard a pop, I carefully pulled out the white box holding the circuit board similar like your video. The fuse was in good condition but I did notice a very light yellow stain at the bottom cover. Seems a tiny black piece (flat slightly rectangular) was shattered diagonally exposing the inside. Any idea what they are called? Looks like it’s going to be a very challenging soldering to get it off and put a new one due to size.
thanks for this video, my dumbass plugged my garage door into my shop light before reading it was 3a max. looks like i'm going to be ripping the light apart
I had just got some bad ass shop lights for a great price, and i was feeling a little lazy to get my extension cord. Plugged my shop vac into the shop light and they broke as soon as i turned it on. I had them maybe for 3 weeks and loved them. Learned a valuable lesson in my young life.
@@ajthekid1256 lol.. Good one. Here's a tip for you. When that shop vac up and quits on you one day. Do not throw it out without first looking close at the motor and see if it's got a thermal fuse on it. Mine just died and low and behold, it blew it's fuse. 2bucks later and I saved my 180dollar shop vac. And keep that filter CLEAN! (That's what did it on mine... ) :-(
@@jagboy69Damn, thanks for that bit of wisdom! I just repaired an Instant Pot (which are not cheap to replace either) not long ago utilizing that same fix. It's worked great ever since.
ah! Brilliant! I came from the fukn idiot's video where he's a mute or something. Gave up as these are $15-$20 & saw this video...took it apart again quick annnnd...mine have "not removable" fuses. Time to remove them! Thank ya, sir!

2:44 Some clown probably plugged in a hair dryer to that outlet on the side of the light. :-/

I’ve been using these lights ever since I made the video, I’ve been working like a champ. There’s so much better than the fluorescent
How can I wire it to 12 volt
