Since there are 39 players left, it's inevitable that one player - Han Minyeo, number 212 - will be left out in the cold because they don't have anyone else to partner with. Consequently, only 38 players participate in the marble game. According to the game's rules, only one player from each pair will emerge victorious, while the other will be eliminated. Therefore, after the marble game, out of 38 players, only 19 should have won and advanced to the next round, while the others will be eliminated. Logically, this would bring the total number of surviving players to 20, including Han Minyeo. However, when Sangwoo checks the money board after the marble game, it astonishingly displays a total of merely 17 players. Furthermore, considering player 069's tragic suicide, the count dwindles to a mere 16 players. Yet, my burning question remains: shouldn't 19 players have participated in the subsequent glass bridge game? Where did the three missing players vanish to?
It was mentioned in S1 that In-ho (front man) won the squid games in 2015. Somehow he ended up as front man. Maybe Gi-hun has a chance to become the front man in S2 or S3 and that’s how he ends the games. I’m eager to see what happens!!
Nope someone else came up with this theory previously, and the actor who played the frontman denied that will happen as he likes to be the one in charge.

If they refused to play and by the end of the time if one doesn’t have all the marbles both will be eliminated so maybe that’s what happened
