    Spartan race is something to do when your physically fit

      Definitely agree, I do think it is a good idea to set a goal to get fit enough to do a spartan race. Preparation is where the benefit comes from the race is a way to motivate yourself. If the Spartan race is not a motivation you need to find something else to motivate you.
