That dying Mall was Paradise Valley Mall and the Top Golf was in Scottsdale. Yes rarely rains in Arizona, but when it rains in Arizona it's intense. During a thunderstorm, streets are flooded and the water is funnelled to the parks. When they are flooded you might be able to go 20 mph on a street that you'd normally go 45 mph. Arizona does have warm winters the average is about 70 degrees Fahrenheit or 20 c but we do have occasional rainy and cold days.
Haha I just bought a Dometic CFX3-35! They're awesome! And perfect for camping (no more ice!). Also the portable charger they have is a good pair with the Dometic. I, myself, use a Jackery 1000 (solar power station) instead to power the cooler and to keep the jackery charged i use the car 12V because the jackery has a low power draw so it won't mess with your starter battery!
The bathroom red light is a heat lamp to warm up the bathroom. I think I have seen them in older hotels or I think people had them in their bathrooms in the 80’s. I know I have seen one, but cannot recall when or where.
Hey Jenna! I live in AZ in the same location where you guys were staying. lol The mall you went to is a dead mall. So sad. It used to thrive years ago. The mall you would have loved is Scottsdale Fashion Plaza. I highly suggest that mall next time :) It's super rare to see snow in the valley but my husband and I were stuck in Flagstaff AZ in the snow storm. It was so much fun!

its been a few years since I lived in the Vally and is that the arrowhead area and if so has it really gotten that bad??
