    In addition to supplements and a low histamine diet, I have found success in using PEMF and exercises for healing lymbic system dysfunction since the brain gets stuck in a negative protective threat loop, but it takes months to rewire. I feel like a lot of doctors miss the connection to the brain.

    I have all the typical ailments associated with MCAS including histamine intolerance. My mast cells will activate for no apparent reason but they are also triggered to activate by sulphites (sulfites) either inhaled, ingested, or via contact. The triggered releases are the worst and can cause anaphylaxis and coma. Typically a triggered attack will cause my blood platelets to drop dangerously low, my GGT count to go through the roof, vitamin b12 to disappear, have loads of free calcium in my blood (have lost almost all teeth), and oddly my parathyroid hormones are high.
    There are 6-types of sulphites. Most are natural and found in many foods such as grapes, lemons, avocados, etc. They are also manmade and applied to processed foods like frozen entree's, deli-meats, most knorr products, etc. But the 6th sulphite and most odd in my opinion is Sulphur Dioxide gas (S02). This gas is applied to dehydrated foods as a preservative and is generated by the burning of diesel fuel. I even react if I follow a couple of highway trucks. So, I have eliminated all foods containing sulphites from my diet and all high histamine foods. I take a mast cell stabilizing drug, an anti-histamine drug, and a narcolepsy drug to stay awake. I hope learning of my trigger (sulphites) helps others. 🍚👋😷 Bubble Man

    Q: Is it possible for someone to have MCAS but without a lot of histamine release, but rather instead there is an abundance of other metabolites like Serotonin, Heparin, Prostaglandin, Tryptase etc..?

    • @DrA-Online
      @DrA-Online  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      That's an interesting question - usually MCAS is specifically talking about histamine and mast cells. The release of other metabolites would be linked to different cells. Sorry if we're not too helpful, maybe a question for your integrative doc!

      Those (as you know) are very frustrating situations. When people do not get much help looking at the actual histamine and mast cell portion they usually have other triggers that have to be addressed. Sadly those can be almost anything, but hormone balance, stealth infections, toxicants (mold, chemical, metal), and other things have to be properly assessed
