Yusuke's theme always had an air of empty flow to me, almost as if it was foreshadowing the end of the show to never be continued or even re-made, a sad fate.
It's called Yusuke's theme, but in reality it's very versatile and used throughout the show in contexts that have nothing to do with Yusuke. It's such a powerful piece of music and facilitates deep storytelling.

I just noticed this theme could be thought as the opposite to Sensui's They were both spirit detectives,but circumstances made them seperate and yet they could still relate to each other. Comparing both themes also emphasize this. Yusuke's theme; calmness, cautious, benevolence And Sensui's is sociopathic and ominous And yet both themes have similar instruments and noises, just played differently...
Oddly enough, the most memorable time I can remember hearing this song is with what you typed. Any time I think of the Sensui Act, I think of this song.

Personally i think they pretty on par with eachother. Just depends which one you prefer Yu Yu more action packed with with superior villains like Toguro and Sensui. While i feel hxh is just a fun journey with great world building, and an overall excellent cast of characters. My favorite character beinng Kurapika, and fav villain being Chrollo, Hisoka and the Spiders Oh yeah both have an awesome main 4 idk which i like better theyre so good
I LOVE Yu - Yu - Hakusho so much! One of, if not then my most fav manga, anime and series in general. So much/many sentimental reasons.. memories.. and "values".. AND on top of all that.. it's TOP NOTCH writing!!! .. I could go on forever, about why I love it sooo much, and every little thing, and every little detail.. but I won't do/subject you/whoever is reading this to that right now lol. I would love to see a Yu - Yu - Hakusho like resurgence of some sort lol. A few years ago they made those 2 OVAs which looked beautiful.. Man the series in the newer animation nowadays, especially compared to the early 90s when the original anime was airing, would be so amazing. If someone reading this hasn't seen it yet, then I 100% suggest at least giving it a try. If you don't like it then that's fine. To each their own. Not everyone is gonna like the same stuff, you know? Also I'm a manga reader AND anime watcher (I try to do/experience both for every and each series I read and/or watch), so I feel I can kind of speak from a semi unique perspective since I do kno both the manga and anime of whatever I like/talk about. So even like the "manga elitists" (you know the types I mean lol) agree that the Yu - Yu - Hakusho ANIME!!!.. AND THE ENGLISH DUB NONE THE LESS!!!.. IS REALLY GOOD/GREAT/AMAZING! .. and even in a lot of cases, they say EXCEPTIONAL! Which coming from those "manga and sub ELITSITS" is just crazy and almost unheard of (with VERY FEW exceptions). So if you speak English, I suggest giving the English dub of Yu - Yu - Hakusho a shot.

As a hardcore fan of Dragonball, YYH is something very arcane, rare, and special
Yu yu Hakusho was such an awesome show. It was so spooky yet so wonderful at the same time and I loved every arc.
despite being from yusuke, always reminds me the actions of the past of toguro, like as the punch he gives in his brother.
This track is believable!
Hunter x Hunter is good, but Yu Yu Hakusho is the by far the superior piece of work this guy did
