    I’m driving 2013 vw golf with EPB and find it works well and reliable. To avoid rear brakes sticking when parked overnight, or longer periods, I usually park it in gear, with EPB switched off.

    as a mechanic these things are a joke. i have been called out on many occasions because these things wont release. Time after time they fail because of electronics. the old manual one you were in control of it.these things are in control of you

      because a mechanical parking brake has never failed lol.

    My epb failed in Toyota avensis and cost was 1700 would not buy a car with that also if u get fitted privately parking break lights stays on and that's mot failure so wat he is saying is that he made my life easy by replacing a 30 pound cable handbreak by 1700 electronic parking break actulator
    If u don't believe just ring main dealers and get the price for epb actulator
    Please do not buy any car with epb
