This is just an android fan project that is free and will only reach a small amount of people, it’ll be a total waste of time and money for Sony to sue an individual, also being that it’ll ruin their reputation for them to sue someone making a fan game. Meanwhile sega did have a license to use spider-man, that license expired and they’ll have to renew it if they want to use Spider-Man in future ports, but that would obviously cost a lot now based on how big as a property spiderman has gotten. And if sega were to use spiderman either way without a license, then they would be making money off spider man’s likeness and sega being a decently big company, it would reach an equally big audience and even more so with Spider-Man being in the game. And since sega is a big company worth billions, it is worth Sonys time and money to sue sega, since not only is it an easy case, it’s also easy money as well that they will end up seeing.
