But what if the patient cannot stand at all nor help in any way what so ever and is equally handicapped in the whole of the body = both the legs and upper body cannot help with the transfer to the car at all. How do you make the transfer happen then? What if the patient need to go to the bathroom really fast = it must not take longer than two minutes?
Yes please, i have a motorized wheelchair, top of it i am short. , face balance issues as well. So please guide me how to get in and get out of the wheel chair. Awaiting reply.
You could never do this with someone with any weight, I work in the industry and would never do this transfer where they are hanging there body weight around your neck, do this repetatively and you will have neck injury. A physio would get a lot of injured support workers as clients if they did this transfer. Not happy.
It's depending on how high the amputation on the legs were, so far helping my mom who is below knee amputee it still can works however i think with anything above knee and especially both legs transfering like this need a lifting belt or something similar.
🌺 HUUUUUGE help ! Leaving my care center Friday. I’m incredibly excited 🌺 Your tips in & out with a slide board are invaluable . Been working on my core & upper body strengths 🌺 Many thanks 🌺

my mother has the same condition, we have to lift her up
That client would need to go in a maxi taxi in the wheelchair and not manually transferred. They should be in an electric wheelchair.

My question exactly.
Does not work if the wheelchair bound person is overly obese and is too weak to stand up together with you.
Okay, then look for another video.
What if the patient is using a walker?
Great but I want to see her lift him. I have to lift my much heavier father.

Roll the windows down and most people can stand independently.
Lacking emphasis on lifting primarily using legs, & keeping back straight, to prevent back injury.
What if the person don't have legs
