This video of BWV 225 is just overwhelming! No other generation, boy's choir, or any other choir of women or men would not be able to follow this. As much as this is my favorite music, I watched various versions of BWV 225, and this was just the best at the moment when I first watched this. I especially love Alexander L's strong and clear voice vibrating the whole place where they are singing. I can even hear his voice clearly when all the rest of the choir is singing.
Bravo !
Alexander certainly creates and enormous volume of sound ans with clarity. I recall reading that Caruso I think it was could fit a hens egg on end into his mouth, One wonders if Alex has a similar physical attribute.
Missing in the description is the name of the exellent base soloist. I think it is Maximilian Hinz.. Some years earlier he was a soprano in TKC, and you kan hear him here on YTube as the brilliant soprano soloist in "Confitebor" by the Maltese composer Benigno Zerafa!
Watch the expressions of the teachers behind alexander, there appears to be signs of exasperation. Could he be playing up instead of keeping the volume down a little? Alexander was one of the greatest Tolzers but probably not the most docile. His rendering of Miriam's Victory Song makes him one of my heros.
I greatly admire Alexander but to be honest he is a little over the top in the ensemble singing as I think Fliegner and the other guy were trying to convey without success. Andreas might have wished for earplugs.
nothing incredible at all... personally I am sick to the teeth of a world that constantly underestimates what children are able to do. Hence the banality that often passes for children's choirs... this is an example that goes to show that children are able to do fantastic things given they correct tuition and T.L.C (tender loving care).
There's no phrasing....they sang it without groupings. Although the sounds they are producing are close to being in tune, the interpretation is just "hammer every note you can". Although it's fairly accurate in pitch, it sounds sloppy and unmusical. The most music they do is dynamics - there's no line. I understand they did ALL of it, but that shouldn't be an excuse, I think. Talented choir but they weren't taken to that next step.
Come on, they r singing chorus, and there r harmonies. However, Bach's works is complex and BWV225 is for double-choir. Maybe it's not easy to get it clearly. lend ur ear and ur heart to it, and u will find this performance not sloppy at all! :)
Beautiful harmony🎶💐
Bravissimo, Toelzer Knabenchor ist wirklich top!

The Toelzerknabenchor treble singers are particularly enthusiastic, even passionate. Amazing for boys so young....
A.L. certainly could project an amazing volume of sound and with clarity. Remarkable young man.
Magnificent performance of Tözer! Thank you
I have a vision of periodic battles to get Alexander into the barbers. What a great little artist he is/was/maybe still is!.

These two heros make a fabulous duo

There are times when the TOLZER just puts me into orbit. i am forever in awe of GSG.
With Alex: in full flow it it all too easy to overlook Fredie's contribution, He is a great soloist
Wonderful performance, and excellent quality! Thanks for putting it up. :))

Lieske and Jost make a great pairing
Lese gerade Deine Informationen zum Video. Sie waren/sind eine erstaunliche Fleißarbeit...:)
VERY GOOD!!!
This is gold. Can TC or another boychoir ever reach this level?
Pity Alex holds his book so high. Hes one of my favourites.
One of the best boys´ choirs of the w o r l d !
Darf ich einen Besuch auf meinem channel empfehlen ?
und folgte der Karriere von Alexander und ich denke, es ist eine hervorragende Solistin und ein Beispiel für jedes Kind Sängerin
That boy soprano is very good. I wonder what his parents promised or threatened him with to get his hair cut.

@aquaria85
so beeindruckend auch die Stimmen sind.... wenig Klangmischung und leider manchmal, bedingt durch die Stimmführung, auch unsauber.
Alexander Lischke here 11yo ?
2004 ?
Alexander L. is the best :D
takjub
I meant given "the" correct tuition of course.. damned typos!
