Hi Jojo 👋 great video. That was a big yellow fin that those men caught. With the way your rod was bending, the one that got away was probably a big one too. You'll get it next time. It's nice watching you cook and tend to your garden. You have a nice garden area. I like all of those red chili plants. Do you know if you cut the okra in smaller pieces before frying, they won't taste slimy. Also cutting the end off and soak in milk for a few minutes will get rid of the slime. Thanks for taking us along for your day. Have a very good week. 😊
i'm pretty sure in Japan they like okra slimy...similar texture to natto and the grated radish they use which looks like mucus. i do eat natto and it is an acquired texture.
@catea2551 Hi Catea 👋 thanks for commenting. I've seen Japanese people eat the natto. I don't think I could lol 😅 Here in the US, most people cook the okra so that it is not slimy. I personally don't like okra, but my husband does as long as it's fried. He won't eat it slimy either. Take care and have a fun weekend 😊
Thanks for sharing your times with us, JoJo. Your horse mackerel looked very delicious. I too enjoy fried fish, but I will now try catfish and other pond fish with a tempura batter instead of cornmeal & flour. I enjoy catching fish too 🙂. Your fellow fishermen came along and lured "your" yellow fin away 😄j/k.. no worries you will catch a nice one 👍. Enjoy your week 🙂
that tempura looked so delicious. luckily i'm going to a Japanese restaurant tomorrow so I can get some but it won't be as good as yours was. love to watch your videos because it inspires me to get up and do stuff instead of watching youtube videos🤣😂
Another great video, especially since I like to fish too. Your vlogs always make me hungry! Here in Hawaii we fish for Aji totally different but the next time I’m going to try fish it like how you did. Same kind of fish so I don’t see why I wouldn’t work. If got a question. Do you slowly drag your damashi in or do you just let it sit? Thanks again for your vlogs.
