I realize this video is a few years old now, but a friend of mine and I plan on playing this starter set today, 1/10/19. The two part demo was very helpful and will hopefully speed up our game today! Thanks.
I really enjoyed this demo. I don't know anything about the game before watching and they did a great job going over each step of the game, pointing out decisions that need to be made and explaining the effect of terrain and the miniatures. I think the use of the "miniatures cam" was a good effort and made it more enjoyable to watch.

I'm weaning myself off of Geedub's tit and DZC looks like the perfect game to facilitate that transition. Thanks for posting this demo, it has convinced me to pick up the starter box.
If scourge tanks used center building to set a pick for long enough to bring down the far building with ucm infantry, then once his massed infantry kills ucm in center building, grab objective and run. Use scourge aa and dropships to threaten ucm dropships on opposite side and tempt both ucm aa AND armor into bad positions/decisions. Once scourge infantry has objective, depleted squad runs it to apc, which boards dropship, then all other scourge units become a screen so it can fly off the board.
this game SHOULD have taken like 30 minutes.. but the dude just would NOT shut UP. I seriously would have told him halfway through the game "look, I really dont want to pre-talk about every move 4 fucking turns from now. Can we get on with this?"

I love it when these things start off incredibly tactical and thought-provoking and end up a slaughterfest for KP.

This terrain an board are 10mm scale right? Was hoping it'd be 28mm and could use it for 40k
