No one is Ren Cool. My goodness, this man is incredible. I love to see him looking younger and healthier each month. Protect him at all costs Btw Britain colonized the caribbean islands so there is a ton of reggae influences in british music. A lot of reggae music & rappers were listened to. They really have a mix of old and new, and tons of genres that people listen to mainstream.
I love how he HOLDS ON to the last note in each line here beyond the end of the last beat of the bar and (usually) into the first beat of the next bar, though sometimes he's actually extending the last beat of the bar, delaying the onset of the first beat of the next bar, like that last note would be written with a fermata. ... and then just tumbles, drops into the next line. Love how he enjoys playing around with his voice, constantly exploring for new expressive ways of delivering his vocals in already-established songs.
It’s the fact that he is just playing around. In between bites of food. And it sounds so fricking good. Just insane. But guess that’s just Ren doing Ren things 😅
Reggae has always been a thing here in the UK and has had a big influence on music like Ska and Two Tone. After the War tons of West Indians and Caribbeans came to the UK to work in the mills & factories and of course they brought their music with them, and the rest as they say, is history.
K mama time, that water solution that people push through the nostril and it comes out the other side helps so much. 😊🤭 gargle with warm salt water. 20/30 salt to water. Plenty of fluids electrolytes/mag. ✌️ hope you feel better
In the 1950’s thousands of skilled workers, and their families relocated to the U.K. in response to massive employment shortfalls. This had a profound impact on British culture, especially the British music scene. I’d recommend listening to any of the following to see that influence: The Police - Message in a Bottle. The Specials - Gangsters Madness - Night boat to Cairo.
I knew a guy years back who was an amazing singer. In his early thirties his voice changed through sickness, age, etc., and it was gone forever. He went super dark for a couple years, then taught himself to be a carpenter (with no prior experience) and excelled at that too. He's a happy middle-aged man with a family now. I guess I'm just saying that there is so much inside all of us.
People say this under every Ren video... He has reggae influences in an occasional song and he's covered a handful of reggae songs but he also covers and writes in lots of other genres. Several of those genres a lot more than reggae. I sometimes wonder if people even know what reggae is. Could you point out where you 'think' the reggae is in this stream?
I want to see so many collaborations with Ren, and this one is near the top. Knox, Dom, Anthony Ray, and Black Pegasus. Love this reaction! We all just wanted to sing along by the end of this stream.
@piedotnet yeah possibly the retakes are starting to drop next Thursday. He has recently posted 4 videos done in a week but not sure when or what they are yet. He's got 2 with chinchilla and 2 with Ruby J soon but I think that's March April time. A timeless album coming, a collab album coming, demos volume 3 ep coming and plus what went wrong 3 at somepoint when Sam is allowed under his label, plus more from eden nash!! Gonna be a hella a year for Ren music!!!

@ThatSingerReactions Brits have had a strong affinity with reggae/ska since the 1950's. It's as natural as listening to Bowie, Led Zep, The Who etc.. Reggae is fully incorporated into the musical scene of the UK ... it's not a novelty.
People typically dont realize, Jamaica is a British colony. The tone of raggae is rooted in northern UK an adapted to a carribean vibe over the years. Rens Welch background in musical tones blends seemlessly with what people hear as traditional carribean raggae.

There is a supplement I use for congestion. It is called Mullein. It is also known as silver leaf. It worked better for me than what you took. It can be made as a tea or in a capsule. It's a natural product. It may be worth a try.
