I think it is not correct. Because in the above mohr circle, radius of mohr circle is half of (Sigma X minus Sigma Y), which is not correct. Mohr circle is graphical representation of normal stress along X axis and shear stress along y axis. Sir how have you drawn the mohr circle without the value of shear stress?
It is the case in which only normal stresses are given and shear stress = 0. Hence, the solution to the problem is perfectly all right !!!! For the case about which you are talking about please refer to the another video posted on our Chanel. Thanks !!!!
For tensile stresses - radius of Mohr circle is (Sigma X minus Sigma Y), while for compressive stresses -radius of Mohr circle is (Sigma X plus Sigma Y).

According to me It would have been correct if 100 Mpa and 30 Mpa values would be plane stresses ( i.e max and min normal stresses )
Yes it is plane stresses since shear stress is =0 .so it is correct
