I have this model and drive it most days. The car has a solid feel and having seen comments on the exterior shell it’s not paper thin. Driving the car your are above many saloon cars. The front visibility is severely interrupted however by the huge A pillars. The satnav is ancient and CD/DVD mapping based so I bought and had installed a modern own. The car should have had from factory a rear reversing camera as the ultrasonic system can give false information. I have with my car a terrible turbo lag when accelerating from standstill out of a junction which can be worrying and also find the MPG high much higher than you have stated in other Antara videos. Overall it’s a nice driving interior and a solid built vehicle. It’s an easy vehicle to drive and the power steering just right. The hatchback boot is quite spacious and with the rear seats down quite large. Lighting is good giving ample coverage. Thank you for doing several videos on the Antara it’s much appreciated
I have the exact same model as this and it's not a patch on the Hyundai Terracan I had for 4 years before it. This is slow on picking up and overtaking and if you do boot it hard then you'll be around 14 to 16 Ltrs per 100 Km's. The road noise is so bad you need to turn the volume up to 50% on the radio even with road tyres on and not mixed. The dual masa clutch in them is very weak and the bodywork is as thin as paper. Really regret getting rid of my Terracan to get one of these, big mistake.

Why wasn’t the Antara offered as a seven seater, unlike its sister car, the Chevrolet Captiva, which could be had as a seven seater unlike the Vauxhall? My guess is that it’s because the Antara would have stolen sales from the Zafira if it WAS offered with seven seats.

Im going to go out on a limb here but it was probably because the 6th and 7th passengers didnt want to have their seats fastened to the roof rack 😎
