Could you have survived as a kid in the Wild West?

Cajun children in Louisiana were not allowed to speak Cajun French in school or they were punished. The language is still spoken by some today and now it’s taught in some schools to bring is back but the damage was done thanks to the government. Very sad.

Adults always warping the children 😢. Children are to be carried for and feel safe ❤❤

It's both children need to be carried for but also needs to take risks to develop tougher to life otherwise they grow up afraid of the world with no courage.

I'm surprised a lot of kids didn't pop a cap in the adults for abusing them.

I really wish the other cultures that came here, would of learned parenting/family skills from the 1st Nations. They, IMO, clearly knew what they were doing.

What is wrong with Bording school.? I'm British and it used to be common for the British to send their kids to Bording school. Race had zero to do with it.

Nice way to keep the racism going. How about looking at it from the angle that the white man helped modernize the Indian people

Ahh yes all that killing, and killing if you don’t relocate really did modernize them huh. Smh.

But they didn't, white man can be blamed for 90% of evil & wrong doing for the last few thousand years. They steal land, kill the locals then say it's their own, they even had to invent their own god because the original wasn't to their liking. British are by far the worst, note that also includes all white Americans lumped in with British because they ain't American if the land was stolen.

9:47 Yes, but people can keep childhood possessions, be young at heart, and the brain is still developing.

I am a white person ... we seem to just ruin everything wherever we go ... makes me so sad😢 most white children that were kidnapped by the Indians and rescued later, were far happier with their adopted Indian families and wished they had not been rescued.
