I witnessed his magic one day at Princes Park and it was replayed many times that weekend. He got the ball in the center but was surrounded by about a dozen West Coast players. It was like slow motion as he dodged, ducked sold dummies and literally walked out of the pack leaving the opposition dumbfounded. He was ten yards clear before the West Coast players woke up from their trance. The footage seems to be lost and it is a shame as it deserves to be at the top of his highlights video.
The complete footballer. He once told Chris Judd if he had his speed he would of won 6-8 Brownlows. And Diesal said after that if you had my speed you’d wouldn’t of won nothing. .Very true
Typical highlights package, which only feature goals. His best work was done setting others up for goals. The way he found time snd space, and hit a target every time. He was robbed of a 3rd Brownlow by a cheating umpire- literally a cheating umpire in Ian Robertson. The greatest disgrace ever associated with the AFL. 3 Brownlows would put him up there as one of the best ever 3 or 4 players. 44 ‘Greg Williams disposals’ are pretty good, and not one vote. It is shameful that the AFL does not remove Robinson from the hall of fame, when the junior umpire admitted Robinson cheated that day.
What a player, great video but still not do this champion player justice it could go for a hour and still not. Has any player ever been so natural on there wrong foot ? handball off both hands as far as most players kick and with perfect pace and timing.
Diesel was one of the slowest blokes down there yet he always seemed to have the ball on his own.
What a Legend!
Best player of all time!!!!!

You're talking about a game from 1993. Ian Robinson retired in 1987.
Natural foot left or right?
