Love this build because it is an actual build not just throwing sponsored parts at a vehicle and call it a build....your always improving making it truly your own and unique 👍 👌..
What a killer build!!!! Great work!!!! You should get a Vanquish VS4-10 Phoenix. It is very close RC version of your rig!!! It would be cool to see full size and RC hitting the trail!!!!🤘🤘🤘
Haha yes the cab is actually extended already on the bottom! The CAD model is a hybrid of scan data and modelling and I couldn’t be bothered modelling the extended cab - just using the scan data!
Richard You do a great job of explaining all the aspects of product development not only the design. As a matter of interest what cad program do you use
Something to be aware of with rear mount radiators on the street with a ute. is you can end up with the radiator not getting fresh air as it's stuck in a low pressure air that just circles itself. Would pay to possibly get someone to run your cad model in a fluid analyser to make sure the radiator will get fresh air
@@Wayne-Kerr_Rudy-Zarzoff Don't matter what you have on it if the same hot air keeps going through it, cant exchange heat from the radiator into air that is the same or similar temperature. Check out Roadkills Mazdarati and the problems they had road tripping it. it doesn't effect off road buggy's and the like much as they dont spend more then 15mins on average doing the same high speed (100km/h) and they generally are very open with no windows etc to create low pressure area's
Fark those batteries are heavy! Would it be possible to use lithium, say four in 2 x 2 configuration so that you can have some in parallel to provide extra current? Another great video. Car is coming along nicely. 👍
Hey mate I modelled it all! We have some 3D Scan data of certain bits which we took ourselves but not willing to sell it at this point! STL/OBJ is a graphics body, but if you can get part/assembly files it will be easier to change!
Lot of good work guys. BUT please limit the welding over the batteries. Throw a Welding blanket over them. Have you ever seen a Battery explode. :) stay safe

Yesss. PnP parts video can’t beat this.
Love Love Love watching mesmerized
Cheers Heath!!!
Great build. Of all the fab channels I watch yours is the best. You got some really excellent skills in the layout that puts you way ahead.
Thank you Steve! Really appreciate that comment, it means a lot. Now if only I could grow to the size of the bigger channels 😅
that battery tray came out mint! those side worklights might cop some hits outside the headboard though
Got a “heavy duty roof rack” going on which will stop any hits!
Insane amount of work 😮
Yes it is🙃!
Good to have you back for 2025!Looking forward to your builds and future episodes. 👌cheers mate.
Thank you Scott! Cheers for the support!
Great Vid Richard the skill by all involved is exceptional. Cant wait for the next episode.
Cheers Ken!
amazing information in here be interested in the wiring for the build with all those thermos. absolutely loving it keep it up.

That would be pretty cool!!!
Starting to look like a proper car! Really satisfying seeing the new brackets click into place
Big kid Lego!
Pfwooor! that's an awesome build amazing skills by a great team
Cheers Dean!
Looking Awesome 🤩 😊
Thanks mate!
This is an amazing build!!! Nice work!
Thank you mate!
Thanks for sharing, great work as usual. Cheers
Thank you!! Cheers for the support.

😂 thank you!
15:06 looks like the space for the cab extension is there already. Still following this Rich :)

Ya tig welding looks excellent ! Wish I could do it that good !
Cheers Simon, practice makes perfect - you got it!!!
@@DesignedandBuiltwhat settings are you using on the razor for 3mm ally

Thank you! Solidworks, I have been brought up using it so never bothered with anything else, fusion is pretty good by all reports also.
Hi Richard, next episode any chance of showing the cab extension ? Cheers mate great vid as always
Hey mate, the lower cab is already extended. We've got to do the roof and upper cab! I'll make it an episode for sure.
Something to be aware of with rear mount radiators on the street with a ute.

Would that matter that much? 🤔🤷♂️
Looks like it will have twin Thermos on it.

Hey mate, I can run a CFD but I'm confident the thermos will work, the LCS shop truck has a similar setup and keeps cools just fine!
@DesignedandBuilt cool Np, just don't want to see ya have having cooling issues doing a trip to nsw or qld on the highway.
@Bigcountry_littlelegs appreciate it, always easy to forget how hot it gets up top!!
Groundbreaking stuff 🙂
Thanks mate!!!

Another great video. Car is coming along nicely. 👍
Thanks Stevo, it is possible but it is expensive to get ones that can discharge fast enough for the winch!
How much power do those epic 24V winches need?
@ I'll see if I can find out for you!
there is another saying of a you tuber. We do it nice cause where donig it twice 😃
😂 well that as well
Very nice build. At least with everything in cad you can build another one if someone has the money 😂
Haha yep exactly! Would be quick for the next one!
Very nice!
Lots of fans! How many amps are they all going to pull?!
I'll let you know when I know! We'll likely upgrade to a more powerful alternator to keep it all under control.
where did you find your 3d car model? I am looking to play around with this sort of cad but don't know which file type to buy.

At 70kg each maybe it will be better to build a tray holder for a portable generator and jerry can holder/ custom fuel tank .
😂😂😂
Hello brother, may I ask what program do you use to design your car's suspension?
Solidworks!
Fwoar it's pooly's mate
Haha sure am!

Cheers David! Will keep it in mind. I haven't but I don't think it would be good!
