    9:14 onward is the exact experience I had. Great review and spot-on with regard to their strengths.
    I've actually kept my B&W CM6 S2's for Left \ Right AVR duties and use these Alpha's with a dedicated amp for stereo listening. They play nicely with NAIM too.

    I love mine. American Walnut. The room isn't that huge. I power them from the Emotiva PT-100 pre and A300 Power amp. The power amp has 300 watts a side into 4 ohms. Has terrific grip and makes my Iota Alfas really sing. Massive sound stage with great depth. So musical and unfatiguing. What a great loudspeaker they are!

    Nice review. I'd get a pair if I wasn't totally happy with my Neat Mystique II's. I totally relate to what you're saying about getting off the merry go round; that's exactly what my Neats have done for me.

    Hi Small Room Audio, have you considered reviewing the Larsen 4.2 speakers?

      Hi zenboy2000, I would be really interested to find out if omni-speakers work in a small space!

    You and the frauline need to review the larsen 4.3 speakers from sweden. Or maybe just the frauline...

    Interesting little speakers, i own the kef ls50 meta's and with my Hegel H120 the bass is very impressive, how much better is the bass on these speakers?
    Also they look like they would get lost being so small standing on the floor will they fill the room with sound as well compared to the meta's on stands?

      Hi Harry - the bass (and scale in general) on the Neat Iota Alpha is bigger than the Kef, they find no problem filling a room with sound. However, whether you enjoy the presentation more from the KEF will be room, taste and equipment dependent. I mean I’d just be greedy and own both!! 😝

    Hello! witch would you recommend for cymbals out the 3 Kef b&w or neat?.

    • @SmallRoomAudio
      @SmallRoomAudio  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s almost impossible to answer because it depends on what sound signature you like and the partnering equipment. The safe option is Neat, as they are the all rounders of the group - but I’d definitely say you need to give them all a demo with your own room and kit to be sure 👍

    Hi there, my listening room is 10ft by 12ft and with a asymmetrical positioning of my current speakers one of which is in a corner 12 inches from side wall both are 15 inches from rear wall on hard wood floor. Unfortunately there is little flexibility of positioning. My current speakers are spendor a1’s driven by a hegel h120 but I find them rather matter of fact and lacking emotion the iota alphas look like a excellent possible replacement but do think they would work in such a compromised position? Or is it likely the bass would be too boomy? Your opinion would be greatly appreciated.

      Hi Adam - thanks for your question. It’s tricky to know for sure if they will work in your room, but the sound signature is definitely very musical and not matter of fact. If possible, try and contact a dealer to see if they will loan you a pair to try out, that’s the only true way of knowing - many seem happy to do this if you ask nicely :-)

    Hahaha, hahaha, hahaha, so very funny 🤣. Also you have a lovely wife. Can never understand why some manufacturers put bass drivers underneath a speaker, as does absolutely nothing for the absolute best sonics for ultimate bass quality, as it is the worst place to put a bass driver, down firing, and extremely close to a floor. Considering the prices of new equipment, there are too many used products that blow new gear into the ground pound for pounds, like the pair of my special edition monitor audio gold reference GR20 and quad monoblocked that absolutely trounce new speakers like these neats and many others like kef meta for example, for far less money now on the used market etc. Experience with lots of listening with lots gear go hand in hand though.
