    Why does the sofa have its back to the fireplace?

    Amazing house and location. Beautiful renovation. Although I do hate front doors walking right in to the living space. I just couldn’t relax with front door and glass panels at side of door opening right in to where I want to sit in comfort. Messes with my mental Feng shui 🤣

      I agree, I want to walk into a foyer with a closet. And the fireplace is an eyesore.

    Even renovation is needed, the house is allready a dreamhome, including the location...and I agree I loove the entrancedoor as well. even the color. the result of the house is stunning and very elegant but cozy, without looking stiff..if that makes sense.

    Why would you block the fireplace with furniture placement like that.

    I was picturing a 500-1000 sq ft cottage like we have here in NE, like I’ve seen in MI/WI. This is a mansion!

    Wow, we rented a house for 10 years...50 % of our renters tore up our home . Other 25% were always late with rent money. Not worth it. Just sell it. The deposit never covers the damage.

    • @allalala9916
      @allalala9916 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Every time I rented I kept everything clean and fixed( always got my entire deposit back and the owners were in awe of how good the house looked) it looked better than when we moved in. Problem is the homeowners kept increasing my rent so I left. They said we'll be happy to have you back. Nope, not coming back if you keep increasing my rent every year by that much. Glad I own a home now.

      When my husband and I moved out of state to go to college we kept our small house and rented it out. The first renter paid on time and lived there for four years. We never raised her rent. The second renters (never rent a home to a friend's son and his wife!!!) tore up the house because they wanted "sweat equity" to pay for their rent, left us with a high electric bill because we were nice and let them reimburse us for the utilities each month so they didn't have to the pay set up fee to transfer them into their names. They paid their rent when they felt like it. We kicked them out which angered our friend. She didn't talk to us again.
      I will never, ever again be a landlord. If I were dumb enough to be one again, I'd want someone who had a 700+ credit score and I'd ask their previous landlord how they were as tenants. I would also hire a rental agent to collect rent and keep an eye on the renters and not have any face-to-face interactions with them.
      I was like you, @allalala, and always left the places we rented cleaner than they were when we moved in. I just assumed our renters would do the same. We also left the homes we sold in move-in condition--sparkling clean and in good repair.

    It's a gorgeous home but the lake would be a "no" if I had a toddler, a preschooler and a baby on the way like Mina and her husband have. It looks like they can put a locked gate on the deck, which might be a good solution.
    I think they'll find that their homeowners insurance will be expensive because of the lake. Plain ol' swimming pools increase premiums a lot so the lake will really increase their premiums.
