ATX power supply hack | SG6105DZ | Part-1

Hack ATX power supply based on SG6105DZ IC .
SG6105DZ IC have inbuilt voltage protection ( over voltage and under voltage ) and current protection( short circuit ) . So in this video we have hacked this voltage protection using resistor to divide the voltage (voltage divider ) on all three voltage sense pins which is :
2nd pin for 3.3v
3rd pin for 5v
7th pin for 12v
And to vary the voltage , we have used potentiometer on 17th pin with the ground .
Make sure to remove the resistor which is connected to pin 17 with the ground , otherwise this hack will not work.
In the next part we will hack the over current protection (short circuit protection).
Note : Be careful while working with smps ,high volt supply .

Sir meine ye same ic me adapter se ye process kia. Or mughe 20volt tak mil raha tha par ek bar chala ne ka baad maine jab wapas on kia tab ic ke 2nd no pin par 3.3v show na hoke 0.11 volt show kar raha hai. Ab mai kya karun

Really helpful ideas. Can we increase the output to 24v with replacement of capacitors of course, with external 12 v source. The purpose is to run rs 775 motor with grinding bits. Pl post a help .

Hi , Yes you can increase the output to 24v and you can power 775 with 15v also because atx can give u approx 10A-15A with 12v-15v ,, so you can easily pull ~200w of power (Watt = voltage x current ).

Waiting for part 2 of your project to by pass over current protection. I open circuited pin 4 ,OPP , but it continues to trip on loading RS775 motor. Possibly it senses feedback .Pl suggest.
