I guess I have locks coming my way, cool. If by chance you haven't shipped them before you see this message. Can you wait a week before sending them as I will be out of town. There will be someone here so it's not that big of a deal.. *sigh* I guess I need to look into my microphone issue. Anyhow, Thank you.
chessguy125 Are you coming out of your cave and starting to pick on video after 10 months of nothing? I really hope that you do because you are literally one of the best pickers I've seen!
I did it. I invested in some lockpicks, very cheap ones, just to see what I could do. 20 minutes of work to touch them up and in a day there's not a lock in my house I can't pick. Went to my local locksmith, got the recommended lock, and was in it within 5 minutes. Need to start looking for more challenging things. Thanks, Bill. New hobby's gonna be a blast.
Bogdan Bordeianu actually I bought two different sets for $6 each from China via the Wish app. They did not include European sizes, though it looks like they do have Europe sets. They will take some work sanding them smooth as Bill teaches you to do, and they are pretty usable after that. I went that route because it was a cheap set of picks with handles.
I always stumble upon strange new obsessions, and this channel is my most recent discovery. I do not have a "passion" for lockpicking/building, however, watching you pick locks is strangely mesmerising
Love these vids. I learned to pick simple locks over 20 years ago and still occasionally pick locks for friends. Did one the other day. Ive always made my own tools to do it. I found that electrical fish tape works good as a pick/rake and iI use a allen wrench ground down for a tensioner. Simple stuff I know, but Ive used my homemade stuff pretty well. Once had to pick 6 apartments when a city main spiked and set off a bunch of water heater PT valves and were flooding apartments.
If you want quality in what you're buying, then Denmark is defo not a bad place to look. I live in Denmark my self and I'm not just trying to brag about my own country but that's how it is. The only major complain would be the prize of course, it's usually quite a lot higher than your standard lock if it says "made in Denmark" on it. :)
Oooh - excellent detail that there is a groove for the sidebar on both sides so that the sidepins will have to be picked yet again when the lock is rotated 180 degrees without a key in it..!
yes very interesting lock. I saw it installed for the first time on Monday, so nice to see what's inside, without having to take one apart. Too bad he didn't take a stock version apart too.
nice one! I tried to google HS locks and I was as lucky finding the company as you successfully picking them! a link would be great! I have also a second question, you mentioned chess guy 125, you mentioned another great picker a long time ago. He was a picker champion and had a great presentation about the history of locks that also I cannot find. highly appreciated an answer to those 2 questions!
I love your videos. I am not a picker "Yet". However I would love to here you thoughts on a fairly good pad lock for under $20. At work everyone uses master locks and as you have said many many times are as useless as just using a zip tie to make your stuff safe. Thanks you Steve Blandford And keep up the great work very entertaining.
so if a locksmith had to access one of these from someone who's locked out of their house, how would they likely go about it? could they still drill it out with hardened bits, but it would just take a long time? or would they try to just break a window and somehow remove it from the inside?
Hi, I resently stumbled upon this channel (about a week ago) by chance. And I thought this might be a good place to ask. I live by the sea and have an old barn which I lock using padlocks, but they keep corroding and stops functioning after a two-three years. I don't really need secure locks as it is mosty to keep the weather, animals and children out of the barn. In advance thanks for any help. :-)
You ARE American right? man. so impressed with your Language skills. I can count in 24 languages, but I totally missed "yeden".. what language is that ??? :) I knew you were a man of the world, but that one got me. Drei (german) Dos (spanish) yeden.. man... I'm looking that one up.
Those Cylinders Look Like They Were Made By Ruko in Denmark And Are A Reverse Design Of The "RUKO GARANT PLUS" (plus they do have Assa Ruko pins in them)
Been watching your videos for a while, and I really want to get into lock picking as a hobby. I gotta ask if there are any Danes amongst the viewers who can help me navigate laws and regulations when it comes to lock picking?
jubbelidiot Not dane but norwegian here, pretty sure we both need to be registired locksmiths to be allowed to own lockpicking tools. but I would contact the local police, you'd be amazed at what they can allow you. like here they might allow you to own a crossbow.
Pad Lok REAL liquorice (as in what Americans call 'black liquorice'), but it's actually quite sweet for liquorice. (Other colours aren't liquorice, they're just called 'liquorice'...)

well whatever he is, he's definitely not a video editor and he does this for our entertainment and certainly doesn't need people demanding him to do anything.
im just here to watch him pick locks. I don't pick locks myself, I find it interesting and I find him entertaining. I've been watching him for close to a year, I don't know what he does/is. I just know he picks locks and makes it entertaining for me.
Either way, I'm not here to argue either. My original comment was just pointing out that he's not a video editor, he does these videos for our entertainment, and to show different locks and he doesn't need anyone demanding anything, he doesn't need to do anything. There's nothing wrong with Michelle pointing out the non-normalized audio, but she didn't have to be rude about it.

Will do. I'm in Germany anyway for another week. I'll mail them when i get home.

which set have you bought? do they include euro lock sizes?

I feel the exact same way lol.

At last, a company that makes an effort.

very impressive lock. I think I found my new front door lock. great info Mr.Bill
yes very interesting lock. I saw it installed for the first time on Monday, so nice to see what's inside, without having to take one apart. Too bad he didn't take a stock version apart too.
thanks Bill for a good video , All parts are made here in Denmark by engineering company DWH All cylinders are available for the Scandinavian market

U called that right bill. Watch quality workmanship.
Oooh Danish challenge lock, that's nice to see someone from my little country send in locks to Bill!

And keep up the great work very entertaining.
American 1100 best bang for your buck. Has great pick resistance and price. Unlike a crappy master or a expensive abloy
Great video! Very interesting and informative lock. Thanks for all you do for us.
That is one beautiful lock...
Looks very similar to an ASSA-Twin
lol Dan Hanson, the fusion of Game Grumps.
very interesting i had a friend that had an old bmw auto that had holes drilled in the sides of the keys this video reminds me of those keys
whauzerz....a real nice lock
Do you wear magnetic pants? I swear I don't think I have ever seen you loose a spring whenever one falls out, it's like magic.
I'd love to see the tooling used on the key ways. Must be some kind of broach? .
bill I love you man. do you only wares an apron while in the lab? thank you.
You can drill out with diamond bit or carbide tip bit
When somebody gets a super thick and solid front door with a kick ass lock, but puts in a 8 foot wide, 5 foot tall window right next to it. [3:00]

If you pronounce the B as part of the name and drop the possessive 's' at the end, that pronounciation was actually really good!
Juhuuuuuu DK
why in america they don t do narrow keyway? to me looks The Way to secure a lock
Stra Leo good question
Depends on the manufacturer. Bill has shown some. I guess it's extra work somehow?
its a very well made lock
skippers pipes 😁
It would have been nice if you could gut one of the standard locks so we could see the difference between them
I understand these cylinders are custom made for one particular locksmith in Denmark?
douro20 I think so...
Bil, is there a good place to buy some .015 picks? I've tried sparrows but the orders won't go through...
Fortunately, this cylinder type can also be fitted on windows! Now worry about pickpockets stealing keys.

ok.. both Czech and Croatian show a "yeden" I'm betting it's a reference to the "bosnian" in your channel-name :)
JEDEN ffs! and its polish ;)
What is the world (Safest) unbreakable door lock ?
I assume you didn't know Harry at this point. Otherwise, I'd have sent them to him lol
hey mate. which is the best lock for you so far ?
chessguy said he was not picking any more. Send them to LPL.

Bartłomiej Koźniewski I think he was going for bosnian/croatian jedan :) greetings from Croatia
nah jeden must be polish ! poland > all. but nice try mate

In theory could be any of the Slavic languages :) but I prefer assuming it's Polish :D
Thanks!
chessguy125 makes no videos anymore right?
You see, these video games keep getting in the way when I'm not at work. Those locks look like fun, we'll see.
what is the website for "HS System" locks? I Googled and failed.
Chess guy 125 don't have any new video's on his channel so doubt hes going to show them off
Where do we order our selfs one of these HS locks?

when you say deputy you have the "bj" sound (I do realize how weird that sounds... thankyou) just add an 'a' as in car and there you go :)
wth are 'skipper's pipes'?!

Pad Lok Also, the flavor is tuned to give a slight hint of tobacco, though this may be purely psychological due to the themed shape and branding.
RIP my eardrums
Licorice pipes....horrible things

Wow nasty indeed

First
fix your audio! super loud in the intro and then SUPER quiet when you start talking. so damn annoying.
he doesn't make his intro's. He's a lock smith, not a video editor.
well whatever he is, he's definitely not a video editor and he does this for our entertainment and certainly doesn't need people demanding him to do anything.
yeah, that's kind of what youtube is for. Why are you here then?
im just here to watch him pick locks. I don't pick locks myself, I find it interesting and I find him entertaining. I've been watching him for close to a year, I don't know what he does/is. I just know he picks locks and makes it entertaining for me.
