The most difficult part is not washing or rubbing your face much, or moisturize it after you get them. I wear makeup and i feel like they dont last as long as theyre supossed to becasue i wash and rub my face every day. The "purest" your skin remains, the longer they will last . Yours came out beautiful ♥

Heyy!! I have been applying henna for several years now and love it! I leave it on my face for 2 hours but it only stays for a few days. Thanks to you I know now that I have to let it sit longer ❤️❤️
Yes! Definitely let is sit for a few more hours and try not to exfoliate after (I've exfoliated a couple days after and it got rid of most of them haha)

A great tips is: After the henna paste has been applied, it must be allowed to dry. A mixture of lemon juice and sugar is then sprinkled on so that the design adheres better to the skin. 👌✨

I'm trying it on my hand first because I remember the henna I buy being alot darker but if I end up liking it I will probably end up doing this it was alot easier to do on my hand than expected

1. Yes, you can leave it on for a shorter amount of time but I would suggest no less than 2-3 hours. This is because it needs time to sink in and develop (the longer you leave it on, the darker it will be and the longer it will last)

i didn’t spread the henna at all! i wanted to avoid smudging. i do think it’s good to lay it on thick no matter what design you’re doing with henna so that the pigment deposits as much as possible :)

I have a quick question I used to do henna and stopped now going to start getting into it, but I feel like it didn't last as long or whatever, most likely because of how I wash my face? I was just wondering whats your skincare routine? like how often do you wash it? exfoliate? etc.. thanks :))))
Hey! The reasons for not lasting long can totally vary dependent on how naturally oily your skin is and also how often you wash your face. I wash my face approx every other day but only exfoliate as needed (sometimes this is once a week, sometimes this is twice a month). I usually exfoliate my face the day before I apply henna so that I can start on a fresh/clean face :)
As a mixed chick this is super helpful and makes me feel less stressed to try it for my skin tone

I have a question. Do you not wash your face or do any skin care before or during the time you have the freckles? I have been trying to make these henna freckles work but basically as soon as I wash my face they are gone... So I am just wondering if you have altered your skincare routine in order to keep them longer or... I might be doing it completely wrong? Or I got a bad product ( I live in Japan so I ordered what I could find through the amazon here). Any clarification would be so helpful
with my current skincare routine, I don't wash my face with face wash every day (usually every other day)! i find my skin gets very dry if I wash it too often, so this ends up working in my favor in terms of the freckles lasting longer. They typically only last about 3-4 days though, so def don't expect them to last too long. It's also totally dependent on how long you leave the henna on, and your skin type!!
Can I put on moisturizer after I've taking off the freckles at night or will it interfer with the oxydation (so they'll turn brown)? Then I'll wait till next morning.
adding oil to your face will make the freckles fade faster, but they’re super easy to reapply! i use oil in my regular skin routine and they usually last about three days (and take about 24 hours to fully oxidize)

Thanks so much! :) I like to do two layers so that there's more depth in the freckles, making them look more naturally. Sometimes, if I just do one layer, it looks like i just drew them on (i know technically they're fake and drawn on, but I want them to look more real haha).

I just gently rub it off with my fingers without water and try not to get my face wet for approx 24 hours after taking it off :)

I think I messed up on mine, I didn’t put as many as she did, I assumed the less freckles the more realistic it would turn out. Mine look as if I have chicken pox, any advice on what I can do to fix it? I used the same Henna as she did. I’m not sure if it’s the placement or what… :( PLEASE HELP! (Also I’m very light complected, not sure if that adds to my issue)
i put a lot and layer them on top of each other for this reason! it actually helps make things look more realistic in my experience bc the freckles look more oblong, are spread out more sporadically, and have more variation in color :)

How do you remove the paste? I feel like im hurting my face by scrapping it off. Is it ok to use face oil to remove the paste? :)
i would recommend using a damp washcloth to help remove them!

Make sure you're using real/natural henna! I always suggest looking into the brand and the reviews ahead of time to see what other people are saying, as well. Often times, henna takes about 24 hours to fully develop so they get less orange throughout the day.
When u buy a new henna packet thing do u need to put it into the freezer before u use it or do u only put it in the freezer after u use it?
i put it in the freezer after i use it, but if you’re not planning on using it for a while i’d suggest freezing it :)

You can get a darker longer lasting look by spraying your henna with a lemon juice/organic sugar cane mix, letting it dry & settle, THEN take it off! ❤️

as often as you like! mine start to fade after like 3 or 4 days, so that's when i would reapply but that's up to you :)

the more you wash the more they’ll fade! that being said, i still do my regular skincare routine and it lasts for a few days :) they were completely gone after i exfoliated on day 4 or 5!

Hey! Totally get that, I would try exfoliating (gently) and moisturizing really well (using like a moisturizer and an oil after). I'd do that like two days in a row just before bed and see how it goes! I'm sure some people on the internet have additional tips/tricks to remove it but luckily it only lasts for a few days anyway :) also thank you so much, love ya too xx

hey, how do you store the henna cone after using ? like what's left of the cone how do you store them so that they won't dry up and where ?
There’s actually a LOT left of the cone and i just pop it in the freezer when i’m done so that it stays fresh :)

i leave it on for as long as possible! anywhere between 3 and 8 hours (sometimes over night)
how long until it goes away (mine looks horrible because i made the dots too big)
