As a white belt, I watch these techniques so I can get ahead of my opponents and understand what I'm tapping to.
nicky rod is a poet
7:22 "footsweeps...foot sweeping...footswept" (cameraman snort)
I found this far more funny than it was 😂
@@user-lj8ui9ew4x me too lmaooo
training partner is the B-Team Placeido 😂
Freddie’s more like Bteams version of Sonny.
@@TheOlFlat5LMAO
😂😂😂
Both are holding a shit ton of water weight from there over dosed trt. Both need to lower there dose
"Build a strong defense." I've been doing that through white to blue. "The offense will come." Solid advice 🤙
apart from bragging when shirtless, that was uncannily mature for a nicky rod video
He speaks English so well
Thanks much Nicky. Keep 'em coming.
Bros a great teacher aswell.
Excellent. Thanks for making this- Super helpful to improve on wrestling up
Nicky Rod with the reach around. Gotta love it
Great details from Father Rod. Congrats.
That was very interesting
black belt slayer
Great technique breakdown and safety tip

Love this Nicky Rod!!
Love it teach me more!!
Very good vid more pls🙏🙏
Ever titan ain't using Freddy as a poster boy any time soon 🤣🤣🤣
Been aiming for the double leg more than the single off wrestle ups lately. Maybe drop something on the double?
that's a beautiful rash guard
I definitely feel more comfortable wrestling up. I gets mashed if utry any guard stuff
5:20 to 5:50 very similar to a judo Tami Otoshi / aka valley drop
Isn’t that a tani otoshi at 5:43?? Dangerous right?
I usually do a blast double from seated
Will any of the b team beat Gordon?
Nicky Rod knows Nicky Rod is an excellent wrestler! There’s a kid on TH-cam who offers $1000 to anyone who can take him down. He’s a damn good wrestler, but I think Nicky Rod could take him🎉
I'd put my money on the other guy, he's dam good.
@@MichaelSmith-ny9qh He’s so fast and his technique is flawless
@@jimtaggert7268yeah but he is cocky and gives people his leg so nicky could have a chance.
I comment on most of his videos telling him to link up with Nicky
@@jackallen1967thank god
4:00 is called Tani Otoshi in Judo and is dangerous as fuck. Please make sure you're being controlled with it and sweep both legs so you don't destroy your opponent's knee.
Different mechanics imo. With the throw Nicky is showing all he is doing taking his partner’s weight across his knee while Nicky’s hips block the bottom torso and then throwing. The way I see it in Tani Otosho is that there’s much more space between partners and the thrower often uses the foot in a fast motion to block/move the opponents legs. That extra space can create more variability for an opponents leg to move wrong along with the sweeping motion which is much more dynamic.
@@Joyceages I see what you're saying, the problem with "sitting" your partner into it is that you're also putting pressure on the nearside leg, making it go inward. There's a Shintaro Higashi video on it that goes pretty deep on the throw. Don't get me wrong, being a Judo guy it's one of my favourite counter / sacrifice throws, but in BJJ people usually aren't taught how to fall properly so it's definitely in the Kani Basami territory (not nearly as bad obviously).
@@PhnXFire2k23 Thanks, I’ll check out Shintaro’s video on it. Makes sense especially since most Jiu Jitsu gyms don’t start nearly as much on the feet as they should with many neglecting to have students master break falls or teaching at what point in a throw you have to accept being thrown. Appreciate the info.
Down towards the mat..
Did he listen to David?
Young Margaret Martinez Margaret Rodriguez Gary
Give Ben Eddy the last CJI spot. His style would be cool to see there.
It would be cooler to see someone who has a chance of winning
It went to Kents
0:51 god, he’s so hung
I couldnt focus on technique after lol😂
