Doesn’t Europe and Britain own the US ? In terms of bond owners seems the US Gov is heavily indebted to the British empire and its colonies.. they may have just inflated their currency to acquire the US

But actually Paul is known for highly aggressive trading and shouting out orders at the trading floor.
I love both these guys, and I don't get the sense that they had any clue as to what was about to happen. I would love to see a follow-up after all this covid mess.
I have no doubt that they both did well (the rich got richer, which is not a slam, they just did what they're wired to do [the non-rich also did what they're wired to do]).
Three years later, their predictions couldn't be more true.

The internet will be the only safe heaven for capitalism.
Self regulation at all levels is the only way to make it all work. Fight ( take responsibility)for your own education. The information is out there. Try your best to be productive. Live with-in your means. If you do ‘make’ it to the top, choose to cap your total compensation yourself. Have courage to share and support an equitable society before the society develops the problems.
Oh well, maybe the next nation in this land will do it better. Be well.

In fact the top macro manuals are the mankiw and the froyen, you can learn only by that, to learn things that happened before is not essencial for financial market, like bentham, walras, menger, jevons were the firsts to make concepts of suply, demand, price, value, stuffs for micro, and smith, ricardo made theories of how economy works before them, so its not necessary, but is interesting for your own culture as well political theory begining authors as rousseau, locke, hobbes, montesquieu. Modern monetary theory is something new, but you can learn online.

It's so refreshing to see leading economists talking about fixing the system!
I do not entirely support this concept of 100 billionaire's path to philanthropy. One person or one organization has limitations. If Gates, Musk and Bezos liquidated as much as they can without killing their businesses and hand that catch in large sums to a few thousand young, middle class, educated young people. Those thousands of people would do more for the world than those billionaires can. I support a linear tax from 0-110% on 200k to 100 Billion (as a percentage of GDP). Penalize the >100 billion dollar monster corporations. Also, pin minimum wage to CPI.
United States isn't the greatest county in the world but it's a decent place with a lot of potential to become better.
