Let me say I feel your story. No matter what we go through, no matter how long ago, we still carry the sadness to some degree, of what should have, could have been. I will be 57 this Friday, I was divorced 23 plus years ago, and I was left with a brand new home, mortgage and a 3 year old son, who is my life. I am a fighter, I am a Winner..I’m still in my home we built, and I am self supportive, God is in control…😊

I suffered with Endometriosis for YEARS until I finally entered menopause. I had laser surgery (laparoscopy) twice as treatment (not a cure for others dealing with it) which gave some relief but it was completely DEBILITATING, and as I later found out, resulted in my Infertility of which I was unaware for YEARS because no one told me!! I so understand what you’ve been through, dear Nikol, and you were SO right to take back Agency over your Life!! We should all share our HARD WON experiences as Women to help each other as much as possible because as you said all too often NO ONE CARES and it’s a Lonely journey!! ❤️❤️🌹

Many years in pain though. Love the photo shoot! 🙂♥️

I completely understand your Endo struggles. I was put on BC at 16 & had my first laparoscopy when I was 18. I went on to try Danocrine & Depo-provera & Depo-Lipton shots durn my college years. I also had a total of 6 or 7 surgeries for Endo including a presacral-neuroectomy, a hysterectomy at 32 & finally an excision surgery (10 yrs AFTER the hysterectomy) of the Endo which I believe has FINALLY gotten rid of it (for the most part.)
I did one cycle of IVF & was extremely blessed with b/g twins. (My husband had issues with his sperm court too, so double whammy.) They were the only 2 viable eggs we had so it was truly a miracle in my book! They are 22 yrs old now! (I’m 50.)
I wouldn’t wish the pain or mental & emotional anguish of endometriosis on anyone. I was so fortunate to have a mother who believed me & a Dr who properly diagnosed & treated me at such an early age.
You’re an inspiration to women of all ages & I love your makeup! I’m so happy for you that you’ve found peace after so many years of suffering from such a truly debilitating condition.

❤ First off, sending you a huge hug, and huge amounts of respect for you sharing parts of your life that include being vulnerable. It’s so loving to think of others, even during your own struggles, and desiring to help them by sharing the details - even the bad side of it all. I don’t think you realize how courageous and rare it is to find someone who not only shares what they’ve gone through, but someone who genuinely desires to help others. Also, standing up for yourself was also huge! It’s so easy to succomb to the thinking that medical professionals know it all… and “know” you as well. It’s a sad truth of what the medical system has become. I have my own experiences of disappointing and life changing consequences I’m still trying to figure out for believing they had my best interest at heart. Also, just to note, my periods got super bad and heavy just before hitting the “sporadic” phase of super light ones and then finally menopause. Great fun! 😬
Love your video. You’re so good at editing your footage Nikol! I was curious about the daily devotional guide so I looked it up lol looked really great, so I ordered one on Amazon. ❤ Fun to see the background of your photoshoots. We never know the tricks and techniques that are involved to get that finished, polished pic! It is work! I only ever helped with dog photo shoots, hours fly by and you are exhausted afterwards. Glad to see you had such a fantastic day on the fourth. Being totally mellow in the midst of busy weeks is totally heaven! Thanks again for sharing such a great blog Nikol! 😊

I am 55 and was having regular very heavy periods which had taken over my life. Sometimes I would only get two weeks between periods. I would be at work bleeding through everything. It was truely horrible. Almost 4 months ago I had an endometrial ablation and my tubes tied as I had a miscarriage in November, yes crazy at 55, and it was the best thing I have ever done. They tied my tubes cause if you get pregnant after an ablation it can be life threatening. I barely had any bleeding post procedure and have had no bleeding since. I am so happy I had it done. My life is so much better. Not sure if it’s an option with endometriosis but might be worth looking into. I feel for you🌸

After months of continuing pain I finally found a doctor who told me that only a total hysterectomy would help. He told me afterwards that the endometriosis was so bad that he was surprised that I had no trouble with my pregnancies! I have an 8 inch scar now but it was the best thing I have ever done and the only thing that helped me. I hope you get better and find something that works for you! Much love!

I almost had major surgery, but it was stopped in a pre op due to another issue. Subsequently, got three more opinions all stating that surgery would not solve my problem. For the last three years, I have been in severe pain and now use a roller to walk. I can walk and swim in my pool with minimum pain. However, I miss traveling, walking, the beach etc. I am glad I got several opinions. I am headed for another procedure and am hopeful. Your advice is so important. Do your research. I understand all about your pain and struggles. I also had endometriosis for years. Suffered from spasms when ovulation because my ovary was attached to the outside of my uterus. Then I had a cyst on my ovary and my NEW FEMALE gyno dr who really listened to me and was going to remove the cyst and possibly yhe ovary thru laproscopy. Well she wouldn't find my ovaries and could only see a nickel size area of my uterus. Surgery ended and had to schedule me for a complete hysterectomy including my ovaries. My insides were a mess withe endo tissue even on my colon, bowels, etc. My Dr. Said I really made her work for her money, I was a real mess, lol. Felt like a new Woman after healing from this surgery. Yes, you really have to be your own advocate and find another Dr if they don't listen to you.

Wow, that's incredible. I'm glad you found a doctor who listened. My surgeon was surprised by how long the procedure took. It should have been under an hour, but it was more like three hours.

It's a shame what Women have to go through with Dr's not listening. Thank goodness I found a fabulous Gyno Dr and also a wonderful Female PCP Dr. She takes her time with me, really listens to me and doesn't rush me out the door. We know our bodies better than anyone and must remember that we can always fire the Dr and go to another that will listen and take us seriously when we know we have a problem. Wishing you the best of health!

The vlogging is like having you at my table with coffee. I think it took me 20 years to get all that crap out of the way. My last period was the most normal one I had in 5 or 6 years. Now my daughter is entering that arena. I hate that she has to go through all that crap. Keep on vlogging. It's great!

Nikol I am loving your vlogs…I feel like we are only getting closer to you through these..so interesting to see your days…thank you for sharing your journey on IVF and your endometriosis, no doubt you have helped many women…my two DIL’s did IVF….one because they lost their first son to a rare genetic disease at 22 months old…because of that factor, IVF is free to them…they conceived naturally having two daughters..it truly is in Gods hands…life is tough, life can really suck at times, all we can do is stay strong and lean on the Lord…I remember I was your age going through perimenopause, I found that the most difficult part of menopause…I will lift you up in prayer, everyday, my friend.. God has certainly blessed you in many ways, but, it doesn’t always take the pain away from all you went through.. ..I understand…losing my grandson was the most difficult thing I ever had to go through, yes, I have 5 other healthy grandchildren, but, it does not erase the pain of losing one of them…you are a gift from God, Nikol, in my opinion!…watching you work and the outfits you put together was so satisfying and enjoyable…I hope you feel yourself soon!…much love and appreciation for you, always!💜🙏

I'm so sorry you were lied to about the laparoscopy surgeries. I had 2 surgeries, one in 1992 and one in 1993 to get rid of mine. My doctor told me I would never get pregnant with it which is why I had it removed and than my Dr put me in artificial menopause for 6 months to stop my periods and the endometriosis from coming back. It was a rough ride for 4 years and something I will never forget. I support women who have gone through this.

Nicole, I have to tell you that I admire how strong you are.
You inspire me to always try to look my best in spite of how I feel. I am going through a rough patch. I have a first rheumatology visit this month, and I really need answers as to what I have and how to deal with this type of pain and weakness that I am going through.
Thank you for being YOU❤. I live in Florida too, but like 3-4 hours away from your studio. I already told my husband that I want to be able to see if i can make an appointment. My brother also said he would help to make that happen. But that will have to be when I start feeling stronger. Can't wait!!😂
Anyway, sending you a big hug and will pray that you start to feeling better soon. I don't know you in person, but please know that I care!❤❤❤

I love your vlogs and, today, sharing your excruciating medical past with us I again felt like I was there in your house as a friend. Your ability to weather all the storms in your life is a testament to your strength and flexibility. I’m 72 and consider you as a mentor to me for all things beauty but also for sharing your life and wisdom. I loved the contrast at the start of the vlog telling us of your horrific journey with endometriosis and IVF followed later by the hilarious combination of Carolina Herrera clothes and Velcro curlers while you drove to Miami makes you a superwoman in my book! You are the Real Deal ! Happy 4th 🎉
