Depending on the size, industrial robots are quite cheap, around 50 to 100 thousands dollars. Sometimes just moving a complex part to another cell may take 1 or 2 days, and both cells remain idle during this. So this setup ends being cheaper.
Robots are not the best at accuracy. We had one, can not tell you the brand. The best we got was 0.1 mm They should better use laser radar instead of touch probe

But each of the robots are just standing around during specific portions of the cycle. Isn't that inefficient use of multimillion dollar equipment?
