- Complete The Book of the Dead [Bronze / 10G]
There are a total of 40 Book of the Dead Pages in Darksiders II. The pages are required to unlock Death Tombs as well as other Collectibles (Relics & Stonebites inside Death Tombs). Ten pages form a chapter and each chapter gives you a key to one of the tombs.
You can still get all of the collectibles (book pages, relics, stones, gnomes etc.) after finishing the story!
What was previously done with ghosts can later be done with the Soul Splitter. You just have to use other strategies to get to some places.

In the bottom left corner he counts them. Unless he skipped one number (which I dont think) there should be all of them.

Yeah, if the stonebites, pages and relics were numbered, or at least dungeons were flagged as 100% cleared or something, it would be so much more fun.
@@barrysensei dunno what you talking about, playing on deathfinitive edition, if you click on the quest you can see them, i was missing 4 stones, 2 power 2 resistance, easily found with this guy guides.

I’m missing the last page of the book. I just watched this whole video and I think 3 of them I was like “maybe I didn’t get that one” so I went to the spot and of course I got them. I now have to basically go to each and every individual spot (including dungeon diving AGAIN) to find this last gods forsaken page

To check the judicators tomb:
1. Enter the room that has the statue in the middle of the floor with the rising platforms.
2. Go to the area to the right of the room with the lever. Pull it to raise the platform.
3. Jump on the statue and use Soul Splitter so that the "stone death" stands on top of it.
4. Move the statue close to the ledge with the door your trying to enter.
5. Cancel Soul Splitter and jump off to the other side.

This trophy is glitched. I got the page at the Spine and it showed as 5/10. Then I visited the Soul Arbiter's maze and died. When I checked again it was now 4/10 so I revisited the Spine and the page wasn't there.
I'm 100% positive I went to all 40 locations twice, and I'm at 39/40.. I even did Earth twice, and I really hate that place. I guess the same happened to me. At least this guide got me from 37/40 to 39/40; I missed the Lostlight and Scar pages.. sucks being so close, yet so far, though
thank FUCK i spent HOURS with the written guide and was missing 1 12 seconds on this and BOOM found the last 1 Drenchfort 1
WARNING: This game is a broken mess, I had 1 page bug on me and when I picked it up it did not count that I got it and did not respawn. That is why so many people say they only have 1 page left even after doing step by step with really good video guide. Because if that bug happens u will get locked out of getting it until NG+. Fuck that, I deleted it. Edit: OK after calming down a bit I thought I would try 1 more time. After an hour I found it. It was the first earth one because that environment looks so familiar with the spikes.

The Game Told Me Two things. One: I don;t have all the pages in the Black Stone Even though I've quadruple checked and have them all. and Two: I had gotten all of the pages in the drenchfort and the city of the dead yet when I double checked there were the pages. Why does the game lie to me......

i was thinking you can't nether but i got in there your talking about the room with the two platforms and the moveable one right? well what i did is move it in between the ledge and the platform that's half way up jumped to it then to the platform then use soul split and dragged the moveable one next to me went back to myself and climbed up and was across:) you could probably just get on top of the moveable one and use soul split and push yourself across tho.lol didn't think of it then:P
Judicators tomb after besting the game…. Is it impossible? You cant even summon those guys anymore to step on the buttons to lift up to pillar to let you pass the first section
Jump down to the middle section pull the big pillar to the entrance side / climb on the wall/stand on the top of the pillar / use duplicate / with the duplicate pull the pillar with your statute to the other side / deactivate the duplicates / jobs done
It says l got 39 pages even tho I'm 100% sure l got all of them l've gone through this video 2 times and went to all the locations and then l suddenly remembered a weird thing that happened once when l was standing afk l got a pop-up saying l found a chapter of the dead which l knew was impossible when all l did was standing Afk... I wonder if this bugged it for me since l can't find the last page...
I think two pages have bugged out on me because I've checked every area about two or three times now and I'm at 38 out of 40 pages
Happened to me as well on multiple play throughs
Recently started playing deathinitive edition. This guide is the best I've seen so far (the web ones are garbage)
For anyone missing 1 of these, it's probably 7 at 1:51 in the shattered forge, you can't get to that area without more abilities, namely the ability to either grab things from afar, you need that to get the bomb to open up the location that they get to in the video.
at 5:35 you should solve the puzzle first if you don't see the purple grasp
I have never visited the drenchfort yet I have 5 pages, should I be worried? Please help guys !

EDIT 2: Are there 10 pages per realm? Like, by the time I reach kingdom of the dead I'd have 10 pages for the Forge Lands
HellFire Have 16 in Forge Lands, 12 in Kingdom of Dead, 8 in Lostlight and 4 in Shadow's Edge.
That's why after 31 it is again in the forge lands. But I don't understand why PowerPyx placed them there instead of the beginning with the rest of the forge lands. Since you can get the one at the weeping crag and all maybe more.

This kind of stupid shit shouldn't be required to get the platinum trophy in a video game. It's simply tedious and boring plus there's like zero chance that you'll find all those collectibles without a guide.

the last page on earth bugged for me, i smashed the car and got the page but damn game bugged me on the wall and then made me fall and die and i lost the page and it's not there anymore.... 3 quests incomplete due to 1 bug... is there anyway to fix aside from doing in new game + or a new save?

I believe someone said 30 book of the deadw is needed for chest abbsyal armor correct me if I’m wrong I’m sorry if I’m not right which if I knew any better I say there’s 10 in each part of story that’s good cause that way we don’t have to keep looking for the ones we missed

Thanks a lot. What's funny is that I found all books in my first play on PS3 back in 2014 or 2015 can't remember. In my second play on PC when I got the deathinitive, I missed 3 and all 3 were in the first realm, the maker's. The most difficult one is in the foundry. Damn, you really need to notice it. Guys if you already completed the game try Game + mode to get them all again without having to run around the world and backtracking. It's much easier to get them while doing the story.
did you know how to zoom it in like that? i press every button of my controller none of that worked..
Press the Right Stick then you'll enter aim mode which zooms you in hope this helped :D

I was also thinking I'm missing one. Spent half of a day rechecking everything. What I missed was page 5! When I first jumped from above like shown here, I missed the balcony and landed below. I didn't notice that, There was no page there, so I thought I picked it before... Now, rechecking everything, I checked this part also and realized I can't land at the balcony. Jumping from above isn't a perfect way, I failed three times. Better get there from the other side, using wooden blocks! I did that and finally got the page!

I have a new issue. I cannot get the scars page, after visiting the location and missing the item, I went back and the construct to the pages location area is gone and access to it is impossible.

Same for me. I saw the empty hollow below the platform and I thought that was where it was supposed to be, so I bypassed it instead of investigating fully.

Thank you!!! Helped a lot. Found out that if at any point the game was Blue screened while playing, then anything you recently received has a very good chance of not saving. Example- I very much remember going to the scare and getting everything and completing the puzzle. However, it bluescreened while I was on my way from the scare to Blackroot, thereby deleting any progress. Just be mindful. Most likely that’s what happened if you think you got all of them.

I'm 100% sure that I got #34 (12:22) as soon as I got Soul Splitter. But, for some strange reason, my game apparently did not count that one, even though I thought it did. So, when I was doing a complete recheck (only one page was missing), I went back to that location and finally found it, after hours searching. Surprisingly it was the same page that I surely got some hours before.
Anyway, for those who are having issues finding the last one, even if you thing that you got #34, or any other page, make sure to check again.

Holy shit this video is helpful. I've been following the IGN walkthrough and at the last page in the Judicator's Tomb, the guide says that was the 20th page if I've been following the guide. I was getting paranoid that I somehow missed one... Turns out the writer of the guide couldn't count

Yeah well, I´m pretty sure that I didn´t forget any place. I checked maps double and I can remember. What I think is that I picked it up and the game didn´t count it. Somehow it seems able to reset this, but I don´t know how. But thanks for the advice. I will start looking again, if I can find the motivation for this, because I spent at least 8 hours searching these damn pages ^^"
Finally I have all the pages. Now I just need the last mystic stone (I know where it is, but first I have to complete the soul Arbiters maze, which means finding all the coordinates for that), then I just need to find the half dozen or so relics and then I can finally be done with these bullshit collectible quests forever!

im swearingni have erveryonenbut one is still missing. had 3 to 4 crashes with the ps 4 edition. i think its because of that. i probably collected the page then crashed (andnit didnt safe) and i just went on. damm thats annoying!!
use soulsplitter
normally one of teh ghosts moves to the pressure plate, now this wont work anymore.
u jump on the first raised block, normally u have a pillar u can move around near u.
use this to get to the second block, then use soulsplitter and move the pillar next to the second block. cancel soulsplitter, climb up the pilllar and ur across the gap
Does someone knows what armor is that? I've tried wiki site and dungeon to no avail, if someone would be as kind to tell me the name of it and possibly direct me where I could inform myself on how to obtain it. I've already collected almost full Abyssal but havent came across even a hint of the armor from the video(I got every single DLC afaik).

problems with the first jump?
jump on the first podium, then on the golden column, and then on the second podium. there you have to grab the golden column with the death grip, and pull it by the side of the second podium. jump-jump-finish.

dont know what is wrong on my side but, i finished first chapter and i have 11 pages of book, when i took the page from foundry it did sayd first of chapter 2. it may be a bug maybe. (i never thoug that could be there, but was sure there was something on that ledge after u take death grip.
I'm not sure man, I think it just glitched out on me at first. I swore that I checked the Stonefather's Vale location at least twice and it wasn't there. Maybe I just had to restart my system or something. This game is amazing yes, but there are a fair amount of bugs still. :/
