  • THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR OVER 33K VIEWS AND ALL OF THE KIND COMMENTS, QUESTIONS AND P2P SUPPORT IN THE COMMENTS!
    * OVERVIEW *
    This is just a VERY quick Disassembly/Reassembly of the Pro Series Bullpup from Black Aces Tactical. Prior to purchasing, I looked everywhere and could not find fieldstrip/dissasembly info anywhere, so I decided to make a video just in case it could help anyone else out.
    The Pro Series Bullpup is the semiautomatic FD12 shotgun manufactured by Hunt Group and imported by Black Aces Tactical. It shoots REALLY nicely, with surprisingly low recoil
    Thanks for watching!

    Even after tightening down the locking nut for the gas chamber, there is a small space for my stainless gas piston to move back and forth (about 1/16th of an inch). Is that normal?

    • @Delta7Nine
      @Delta7Nine  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for checking out the video, Micah... I don't believe there should be movement there and I'm not really sure what would allow that to happen, honestly. Sometimes you kind of have to crank down on the locking nut. If you would, try that and let me know if you still experience issues. Thanks again

      I put my barrel shroud back on then took an orange dead blow hammer to it with a few solid swings all the way around and it eventually came loose. Took me about 3-5 minutes, but I took my time and was constantly checking. Also, any oil you can get between it and the receiver might help.

    • @Delta7Nine
      @Delta7Nine  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching & great question... it's gas operated

    • @davidrowley8251
      @davidrowley8251 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      To be complete, it is a gas operated piston. The piston captures gas pressure to move the bolt, as opposed to a gas impingement system, such as the M16 5.56 rifle (and most AR15) uses.
      Pause the video at 1:20 and you can see the large spring. The right end of it disappears inside a short black tube. That is the gas chamber. Inside that gas chamber is the piston which goes around the barrel, like a donut. Further to the right, towards the end of the barrel, there is a small hole in the side of the barrel, which allows burned propellant gases into the gas chamber, which causes the piston to push the bolt back away from the barrel chamber and towards the butt of the gun, and begin the shell ejection, pickup and chambering process.

    • @VincitOmniaVeritas7
      @VincitOmniaVeritas7 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@davidrowley8251 Interesting. Do you know if it is a short stroke gas piston? I was wondering how the recoil would be.
      My Mossberg 930 is gas operated and it has a gas piston assembly but it is far from reliable as a traditional gas piston, because it accumulates a lot of carbon and lead around the gas cylinder.

      Rear pins on bullpups are usually more difficult than the front pin. I own 2 of these and the rear pin is a bear to push out, I can't do it with just my hand.... but nothing a simple punch can't take care of. I've had a horrible experience with my Black Aces Tactical Bullpup Pro-Series semi-auto. The lower is injection molded and mine is warped so badly that the upper doesn't fit properly. I need to DRIVE out the takedown pins with a hammer and punch. The safety selector has a very high effort, partially due to interference from the warped lower. The trigger effort is extremely high. That's partly a common challenge with remote triggers on bullpups, but the lower warpage creates additional friction. It doesn't reliably cycle target loads. Even after a couple hundred rounds it fails to properly eject around 10% of the time. I contacted the manufacturer to fix the issues under warranty, but it took months to get a very poor response. The CEO's comment was, "Sir, it seems the gun functions proper, are we correct in that?" Clearly he and I have different opinions of how a proper firearm should function. I bought this for 3-gun competitions, but it's going to take a lot of work to get it where it needs to be.

      @@Delta7Nine the charging handle and shroud are off..I can't get the forearm stock to slide off, iv heard u really have to tap it but I think the grease they put on it created a seal and is making it so much harder to come off

      Apologies, I misread... I thought you were saying the charging handles wouldn't come out. The operator handle may need to really be tugged on to get off the first time. On this, wouldn't bang on it too much but wedge it int your hip and tugging against the operator handle while pulling the pistol grip into your body. You can try to cleaner/oil idea around the seal, maybe even a hair dryer to heat it up a bit. Again, hope this helps. If not, keep commenting and we'll get this fixed for you!

      @@spencerhighley4231 Yeah, having it cycle some rounds should definitely help. If not, shoot a video of the problem so I can get a better look, or, it may just need to go back to the MFG to be repaired

      Make sure you’re turning it Righty-loosey - opposite of normal. If it still gives you trouble, you may need to hit it with a little heat gun near the threads (but not too much). Hope one of those works!

      Thanks for checking out the video. Yes you can, it’s ambidextrous. Just pull it out of the left, as shown and re-insert into the slot on the right
