I love that all the Nero Wolfe episodes start with the phone ringing. Greenstreet is such a good actor and I love that laugh. Archie’s attitude and personality are so ‘40’s. I love it. 🌷🌱
Don't recall Wolfe EVER having, as a client, the guilty person. Inspector Cramer even commented on that "fact" - multiple times! Wonder if Rex Stout was crabby at the time he wrote these radio shows? Perhaps he objected to his rate of pay, but he shouldn't have been TOO "grumbly," as he was already quite well-to-do because of his "Children's School Banking System." (Please don't quote me on that title!)
Re Archie: That's the point ! Also He is a perfect balance to Nero's arrogant character, they enjoy a laugh on each other, and mostly they enjoy each orher. M. IL.
