That G-Funk synth with the NY boards are fuckinggg sickkk. This is mad refreshing kinda feels like some Heavily Dub influenced Sublime stuff. but way more on the rap side.
I saw them last night at some party in a apt in Bed Stuy. Needless to say their energy is awesome and tgey have the rawness and creativity that NY is supposed to produce outta it's artists.
Absolutely! I saw them live and he was very present on pretty much every song that night. I'm horrifically enthusiastic and impatient for their glorious new release.
Where can I download wiki93 with all the original beats? I loved it when I first heard it then when they rereleased it with the new beats it's not as good
Yo, somebody from the ratking team needs to release an instrumental for this shit for the broke niggas out here yall niggas talkin bout busfare and shit i just need this beat
they have 2 totally different styles. Ratking has way more of an underground sound than anybody riding for Beast Coast. That's what makes them stand out. They already up there
Devin Will I see what you mean, but couldn't you say the same thing about those already in Beast Coast? To me, Flatbush Zombies have a much, much different style than pro era. And even if UA isn't that much noticeably different from the Era, they still definitely have their own sounds/character. Odds are Ratking probably wont ever do hang with them, I'd just think it would be cool to seem them mesh and do a project.
Love the song. One thing I dont get though is when wiki 93 was put up at first on bandcamp and I bought it, it had completly diffrent and better beats then when they put it out on xl, Whats up with that?
two reasons: sample clearance and the live show. cant sell the record on a label if you don't clear samples and while they could have cleared most what they used, samples from places like SportsCenter were basically waaay too $$$$ to use or could not be cleared from the other side. also, the original album was made before ratking really got their live show down, and the new album reflected the live show's sound much more than the original album. its hard to fully appreciate the re-release without seeing the live show.
wow, this is their best song so far!
I seriously think tracks like Sporting Life and Pretty Picture are way better than this, but 100 is still a good sign of growth.
this is a good thing now i feel people who love this shit soon
uh, not even close
I hope you plan on doing a track review, because considering your opinion of their EP, this makes no sense whatsoever.
fantano doesnt know about the first wikispeaks lmao
Hard pill to swallow, heard there's light at the end of the tunnel. Wasteman found it, left it rot, he was chasing his troubles.
and these fuckers wonder how we keep it, 1 double.
wiki still got one of the freshest, original flows i've heard in the 21st century. and he still will be slept on. no compromise
You heard Half God? It's a masterpiece. Wiki was ahead of his time but I think rap heads are ready for his heavy lyrics/delivery now.
Props to Earl for recommending this waay back.
I think that DOOM should make a project with this guys, they are so fucking talented!
Cannot believe this dropped on my last day of high-school & I only discovered it today, 9 years later
That G-Funk synth with the NY boards are fuckinggg sickkk. This is mad refreshing kinda feels like some Heavily Dub influenced Sublime stuff. but way more on the rap side.
Can't wait for the album. After listening to 100 and canal. It looks promising
I saw them last night at some party in a apt in Bed Stuy. Needless to say their energy is awesome and tgey have the rawness and creativity that NY is supposed to produce outta it's artists.
Love that Hak is going to have more of a voice on future Ratking releases
Absolutely! I saw them live and he was very present on pretty much every song that night.
I'm horrifically enthusiastic and impatient for their glorious new release.

They should've switched Puerto Rican Judo with 100, then I wouldn't skip 1 song on So It Goes.
PRJ is underrated lol
"Puerto Rican Judo hangin' off ya culo" yeah, I'm not too fond of that song either
nah its a great song but it doesn't fit in the album as much as 100 would, plus having 100 on a vinyl release would be a god send
Sporting Life!
Kim Gordon's voice introducing Ratking. Cherry on the cake.
Goldfinger Sport tossed me the beat told me to keep it a hunnid!

Fucking love this
Think Ratking will eventually hang with the Beast Coast dudes? I hope so.
Ratking is on their own level I think personally
they have 2 totally different styles.
Odds are Ratking probably wont ever do hang with them, I'd just think it would be cool to seem them mesh and do a project.
lol yeah you could. No doubt each of their own styles are the best for who they are
beast coast is on that bullshit third eye ,smoke weed everyday, im enlightened talk. ratking keep it real.
ratKING!
Love the song. One thing I dont get though is when wiki 93 was put up at first on bandcamp and I bought it, it had completly diffrent and better beats then when they put it out on xl, Whats up with that?

ListeningIn2021✊🏽🤙🏽WIKI

In the intro, they're sampling that (fake) interview with Ian MacKaye by Kim Gordon!!
