I think people misunderstood Kendrick, he wasn't criticizing Drake because he is mixed he basically calling him a culture vulture because he didn't grow up in that lifestyle.
He literally talks about Drake's crew, and mentioned someone who was in jail... Same with the you can't say the n word no more. Kendrick is black Hebrew Israelite, who hate Jewish people.
It was easily misunderstood until after Meet The Grahams and Not Like Us dropped
Edit: Ross actually said as much too, so people assumed Kendrick and Ross was saying the same things.
It seems like the drake fans are pushing that narrative and since there are definitely more of them then that’s the narrative that’s catching on with comedians who don’t actually listen to the music
