The drummer puts heaps of others half his age to shame. He just casually sits there smashing it out without looking tired. Taking it all in his stride like a Sunday walk
Let's be honest, he does look tired from first song on ;D . Fact that he doesn't give a fuck him being tired, and performs at the highest level, is the attitude I respect
Saw them in Newport in '89. We were walking around town hours before the gig and actually met the band. They were soooo cool. Signed my denims and Dan Lilker grabbed my beer off me and chugged it in one. Proper metal move. And John Connelly's vocals are even better now.
Wow, to see Glen Evans drumpower is very impressive... very underrated drummer . Nuclear is one of a kind, awesome band. Saw them mid 80's with Dark Angel 🤘
@@MrRictusgrin Damn. Touring will do that. Since this was a festival it might have been more of a one off gig so his voice was in shape. Not getting, pardon the pun, "thrashed" every night.
@@Dierdre_Barlow While that is true, many singers fail to take care of themselves and can't deliver vocals like they once did. Clearly John is not one of those people, he sounds amazing
I met John after a show I think in 89. They played a little club here in Baltimore (that doesn't exist anymore unfortunately). He jumped out in the crowd and the first thing that came to my mind was wow, this dude is short lol.
This thrash metal group really belongs to the major leagues, one of my favorites of all time, it is incredible to see them still in action with all the power of trash metal
agree! I'm 42 and love these guys from day 1. John hasn't lost much lol. If his singing on "Survive" is a 10.......He still sounds like a solid 9 here. Awesome.
Glenn is still an animal. He was my favorite metal drummer in the late 80’s. Only got to see these guys once and that was for Handle with Care. At the Paradise in Boston in ‘90 I think. It was weird because it was pretty empty (weekday) and I’m standing there in disbelief thinking, how can this not be packed...it’s Nuclear fuckin” Assault!
